Chevelle/Monte universal parts
 

Hey everybody, so I got a 71 monte carlo I stripped the drivetrain and brakes out of for my father's 72 chevelle project he just got.

I was just curious what other parts would crossover from the Monte to a 68 and/or 72 Chevelle. I got the seats and center console already. Power windows? Headliner bars? Obviously the interior/exterior hardware. But wanna make sure I take everything I can to save some $$$ on the 68 and 72.

G body and A body are not the same. Your driveline and motor are good, headliner bars, no go (different roof style) windows nope.....wheels and tires are ok.

I could have sworn that the '70-'72 Monte was on the A platform.

The 1970 Monte coupe was on an A body. The Monte personal luxury vehicle was a longer G body frame. Suspension should be the same and I believe the trunk lid as well. Other body panels no.
