Default Brakes

Im just touching up my parts list for my build & was wondering what disc conversion kits some of u have had experience with. I'm on a budget so I'm not looking for a extravagant brake set up. I have a speed way motors catalog & they have a drum to disc conversion kit for $300 for the front & im not sure if i'll be doing disk in the rear right away. I atleast would like to do the front while the suspension is being reworked.Have anyone ever bought parts from speedway? Any advice or links will be appreciated to recommended kits. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I've looked @ ssbc conversion kits & they're pretty expensive for just front kits they want right under $1000. I'm gonna shop around.

$300 sounds a little cheap. What all comes in there kit. If you have drum brakes then you need a kit that has all the items that are in this kit.

Yeah I just checked out speed ways kit & it doesn't include booster & spindles but the ground up kit is about the price range I was trying to stay in. No doubt that Baer,SSBC, & Wilwood are leading brands in the aftermarket brake industry, just not in my budget. Thanks for the advice Crengo & thanks for the link Ray.

I got the SSBC kit for $535.00 and this month they are offering free powder coating. the rear is a little less if you have a 10 bolt.kit comes with all the parts you need.
