Default new chevelle

Hi Guys,
I'm new to the forum, and new to Chevelles. My father and I have worked on many different cars and always loved Chevelles, and just got a sweet deal. It is a 1966 chevelle malibu convertible, 327 w/ 4 speed (previously 3 speed). One owner before us, 66k original miles, and all original (except trans), even paint is original. I was wondering what the value of something like this is? Also, there were ~11,000 of Malibu V8 convertibles built, but wondering what the production numbers were for manual trans? We're excited to get working on this car as the seller threw in a Baer Brakes kit, torque thrust rims, and Global west control arms. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Sorry I cannot help with the production number but if you post a picture or two that would be great.

Welcome!

I had a very rough 66 Malibu convert 283/PG car that I sold for $4000 about a year ago... If yours has no rust, and the paint is decent, I'd say somewhere in the $15,000 range... even more if the original paint is really nice, and a desireable color. It's tough to give a good estimate without pictures though...

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the responses. The Paint is Regal Red (original) with med. vinyl red interior and a white top. There is absolutley no rust, and is a true survivor that still runs. I do not have any electronic photos, but will work on it. My dad and I go to the Turkey Rod Run here in Daytona every Thanksgiving holiday and will most likely take it this year. I wonder if it is better to leave original looking, or to hook up the baer brakes kit and rims. I see the value of these kinds of cars all over the place, but it seems like this is a rare combination.

They look great. Fact if the car still looked anything like that I would suggest just leaving it alone and drive it. Assuming everything is still in good condition.

Looks beautiful! I think I was rather low on my estimate

Red/Red and nice original paint = $$$$

Thanks again. I figured that the car is cool enough on its own to not have to change it too much. I think I'll give her a good wax, polish up the chrome, maybe put some new tires on it and she'll be ready for cruisin'. The paint and interior are in great condition, just need to get her tuned up. I'll keep you guys posted and put some pics once I have them. I may also try to get some tips as I'm working on the mechanical parts. Thanks again.
