We have had a few new members lately and I thought that maybe I would "bump" this thread so that they could read the very first post and find out a little bit about who we are.

Welcome to all the new valued members.

Hi. Andy here. Just bought my first 1970 Chevelle this weekend. The 70 has been my dream car since I was 7 (47 now). It’s crusty, has a title, supposedly ran 2 years ago. It’s a Malibu w/ a 307 and 2spd PG. factory AC and PS with manual brakes. Hasn’t been registered since 1988.

Many years ago when David and I met I don't think that he ever understood my love of old cars. Before I even knew David I owned a 1969 Dodge Charger unfortunately it was stollen and found the next day in the middle of a field, the people who stole it took all the chrome, the wheels and seats then went for a joy ride thru a field...the car was totalled. I then owned a 1972 Challenger, let the first husband have it in the divorce cause I was wanting an old Chevy.

It took a few years, and the help of my brother, before we were lucky enough to purchase the Chevelle. My older children (25, 22 and 21) grew up watching drag racing at Detroit Dragway. So now they got to help with the sanding on the Chevelle. They loved it...not.

The 3 younger kids love going to "Cruises" with mom. Thursday night was our night out while daddy stayed home. What could be better....

Thanks for adding to the intro Nancy. I look forward to meeting both you and Dave this next cruising season. This intro needs to be a sticky so as new members join it doesn't get lost and they can read a little about you.

I echo what Hank said.
It would be great to get together some time with the cars.

Well if we start now maybe we can fill that whole center row next to the hotel at Autofest this year. Now that would be something, we could put the Tri-Five club to shame.

Default Thank you...

Mr & Ms Grumpy...

It is way cool to see you keeping this and your car hobby as a family affair and thanks for the further insight into the Grumpy's!

Neat story. It is nice to see good family values...

I look forward to having a chance to meet you guys someday.

By the way, my little ones, Ethan (10), and Jude (4) love anything to do with my Chevelle...tuning, washing, cruising, car shows, dairy queen or sonic runs, etc. My older boy has already told me he wants a 66 elky, and my younger one wants a big block 63 nova.
