I've been eating healthier this winter in an effort to simply not put any more on... I had been putting on 15 every winter and taking off 10 every summer for the past few years. :o
During the summer, I'm active enough to eat anything and everything in sight... winter, not so much. |

I eat healthy and exercise everyday but the weight just doesnt come off anymore. Several years ago I lost 105 pounds by eating the same healthy foods I enjoy today and the same daily exercise routines . I am very active all the time ,but nothing is working this time . I am more stressed these days due to the extra workload and filling in for my boss who has been out for several months plus the fact that my job may be outsourced soon so that may be part of my problem. I wish you all and myself lots of luck.

I am in. But not posting my weight. Let's just say that I need to lose more than a few.
|
The wife and I have been on a diet for about a year and I know what you mean with the weight not wanting to come off anymore. Heck, when I was younger it was easy to lose weight but when I hit 45 a few years ago it's like an act of god. I'm not bad and I go to the gym and drag my wife with me three times a week. I'm a little over 6'3" and this morning my weight was 213.8; I should be around 200 so it could be worse. I won’t mention what my wife weight is because she would kill me if she ever found out I posted it on the web.

I'll join in. I'll switch to Coors light.:D

So has anybody made the attempt to start a weight reduction program of any sorts for their lives?
I myself since last monday have lost about 12 pounds. I will be very happy when I get under 200 pounds again. I work out every single day again now that the doctors have said to go ahead with weight training again and it feels so good to get back at it. I can tell in that 8 months or so of recupperation I lost a whole lot of my physical conditioning. The amount of weight I curl and press is far less than where I was at, but I will work my way back up again, not a big deal. I just need to make sure I stick with the correct diet and keep working out and I hope by March 1st area to be down around 190 pounds, which will be nearly 30 pounds (29) lost in about 5 weeks. I've done it before and I can do it again. My overall goal is to get back under 10% body fat again, preferably around 8% would be great. Jeff |
I'm in.
I have a few more pounds I am trying to lose. |
I started last May and have lost 38 lbs.
I simply started walking and I cut back on my portions. I still need to drop about another 40-50. I will admit I have been hovering for about the past 3 months as I have not been walking as much (it's cold out) and I ate more during the holidays. I figure once it warms back up I should drop fairly quickly again. |
I've cut out snacks and deserts and the wife is trying.
