I have stated a value of $25,000.00 on my Chevelle from 2001 that we still use and my yearly premium through Hagerty is $266.00 per year.

I don't know if I should get my car re appraised for current vlaue or just leave it be.

Im with Hagerty but its underwritten by Farm Bureau so that may be the difference with mine.

I was using another underwriter a few years ago and it was closer to $300.00, then I switched to Farm Bureau this year and it went down to the $266.00.

Farm Bureau has everything else of mine so I figured they could do the classic car as well.

Hagerty also will insure my antique tractors too.

See and we use Farm Bureau for everything else too. Our agent said it would likely be about 1400 a year with them.

I think I see why yours was cheaper through FB. Its a stated value policy where I have been pricing out agreed upon value policies. Its the only thing I can think of.

I would still be interested in chatting with your agent. Could you private message me his contact info ? Thanks

Dave

Grundy did have you sign a release that the car will not be used for any type of racing. I also realized that the Grundy policy did not include the new fee that Michigan Insurance companies have added to all vehicles, which would increase it $125.00. So the difference is still between $125-$150.

I looked at it does say agreed on value.

I know he asked if there were any modifications, which leads me to believe if they don't look and run like a drag car the rate would be less....maybe?

He took pics of car both interior and under the hood as well as a couple of exterior side shots.
