my 67 SS is 235/60/15 on front and 275/60/15 on rear all four are 8" rims.
My 70 has the same on all four wheels. |

I have 255/60/15's all around right now. Will probably go your route when I get ready to change. |
275/40/17 all around... Eventually, I'll go larger in the back...

Yep I'm trying to look at the pros and cons of different tire sizes. I already have two inch drop spindles up front so I'm limited to 215's. On the rear I could go larger but I’m not sure. I don't want to add more angle but wider could have some benefits. Thanks for all the help everyone.

I am not really sure what size were going with yet. Really depends on how much the lowering springs settle. Until that happens the 15's will stay on.

235/60/14 front and 275/50/15 rear

165R15 on Weld 15x4's up front, and 275/50/15 on Weld 15x10's out back for the street, with 10.5 x 28.5 x 15 slicks for the track.

205/60x15 on 15x6 AR wheels up front (24.69" diameter x 8" section width)
255/60x15 on 15x8 4.5" offset Jegs wheels on the rear for the street (29.06x10.04sec. width) 275/50x15 Hoosier DR's on 15x8 3.5" offset Weld Draglites for the track (25.86 x 10.83 sec. width) Going to pick up some 15x4 Draglites and skinnies this Spring. |
I've got 225 70 R15s on all four wheels. They were fine on the convertible. I put them (wheels included) on the Buick, because the Buick had bad tires and the convertible ones were new (and the Buick rallies are 14"). The fronts rub on the inner fenders in turns on the Buick, but not on the convertible. Odd.

They's yay wide, yay tall, "tars" mostly black, rims mostly silvery...kinda glittery, and I like 'em!
