I love the '56 Chevy. I have a friend who live in Texas who has a 4 door like that. His grandfather bought the car new and it has been passed down to his dad, then to him. This man said if he ever sold it, I would be the 1st person he would call. His kids have no interest in the car and he knows they would just sell it. He has all the original paperwork and the car is all original and runs beautifully. I can't wait for that call.

Just picked mine up from a major detailing.

Maybe not my favorite, but still like it.

The paint looks amazing in person. Not a single swirl, halo, or imperfection to be found. Finally....

Unfortunately, now I don't want to take it out of the garage :grumpy:

VERY SHARP !!!!

I just had to post it again for you Eric.

Ms Grumpy 02-13-2013 10:03 PM

I have to say, look at that garage. Did you wax the floor in anticipation of the return of your car ? lol

Ms Grumpy 02-13-2013 10:09 PM

This is not a picture of my car. But it is one of my favorite pictures from last years Northern Ohio Chevelle Club Show. It is a picture of flash's 72 Malibu Convertible. Riding in the car are John and Joan in the front and my kids Jacob and Leah in the back seat.

Unfortunately, not my garage. That belongs to the detailer, but I did speak with him at length about the company he used to do the flooring.

I have no desire to put any more money in this current house, but the new one will have the exact same floor.

That was a fun time ,looking forward to doing it all again when I get it put back together .

Ms Grumpy 02-14-2013 07:41 PM

Me too. That show is the highlight of my cruising season.

fleming23 02-18-2013 12:20 PM

Got the car out this weekend to enjoy it after having been fully polished & sealed.

Brought the camera along and got a couple photos.

So glad I decided to have this car painted Forest Green!

Nice! I hated green cars when I was younger, but lately I find myself looking more and more at green for a color choice. It's really starting to grow on me in my old age. :D

flash 02-18-2013 06:01 PM

I didnt think I liked green until I saw Eric's car ,now Im liking green . And those wheels look great .

Ms Grumpy 02-18-2013 07:08 PM

I agree with flash. The wheels look great. I like the stance too. Just have to ask if it is really loud ?

You know, that statement has me thinking he needs to post a sound clip or two. :D

fleming23 02-18-2013 07:43 PM

I don't have video of it revving or anything, but the 3" exhaust does get pretty obnoxious at WOT. However, the x-pipe & magnaflows keep the noise pretty subdued when just cruising around. I can easily listen to the radio or have a conversation without really trying.

I went flying by one of my friends wide open and he said stuff in his truck started rattling so....

About the only video I have of it running
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJREpZNNLtY

Other than my pass at the track, but you can't really tell how loud the car is in this one

Ms Grumpy 02-24-2013 05:53 PM

The more pics the better Pro... Beautiful pics.

Ms Grumpy 02-24-2013 05:55 PM

Eric, I wouldn't say it sounds loud from the video. But it does sound mean ! Damn your motor looks clean.

shadowgray396 02-24-2013 06:43 PM

Awesome looking car. Love the stance and the look of a 67 Chevelle

ProStreet67 02-24-2013 07:44 PM

Appreciate the compliments.

Theres lots of real nice rides on this site. Alot of time, effort, energy, money, blood, sweat and tears going into them. Its good that we all can recognize and appreciate this. Thats why we have and love Chevelles ! Im glad I found this site, its a great place !

flash 02-24-2013 08:10 PM

Love all the pics .

shadowgray396 03-09-2013 09:59 PM

Had the chevelle out today and down to one of the local parks in the area. When I got back spent about 4 hours cleaning up the pickup getting all the winter grime off it using all the cleaning products I use on the Chevelle. Truck almost looks as good as the day I drove it home from the dealer.

Sent some pictures into an editor of a magazine yesterday and he loved the car and color and is thinking about doing a write up on it. Not going to say who just yet until I see if it happens.

Ms Grumpy 03-13-2013 08:18 PM

Oh that is cool Ray. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

carpoor 05-12-2013 07:39 PM

earthquake68 05-21-2013 09:57 AM

I can finally post a picture of my Chevelle in one piece! It still has a ways to go, but the mechanicals are about done. Just try to imagine it all one color. :o

flash 05-21-2013 11:12 AM

Alan ,you have come a long way ,cant wait to see the rest ,thanks for taking us along for the ride with your build .

earthquake68 05-21-2013 05:53 PM

Thanks John. I hope to have the mysterious windshield clips soon. I ordered them from three different places. That sounds a bit excessive, but I'm sick to death of hearing, "Not yet, try back next week."

As soon as I get the glass glued in, I can knock out what little body work I have left and start laying down some color. (glass has to be glued in to drive it to the paint shop, and windshield can't get glued in until the clips are in)
