Cool. Did you work in Vegas? I ran a smallish (compared to Vegas) Hotel/Casino kitchen serving multiple venues, for a few years.

No not in Vegas but in Reno at J. A. Nugget from 1978 to 1983 (Rooster Room, Steakhouse) and at the Peppermill from 1984 to 1988.

Arguing with my wife(Jeannie) is my #1 hobby, followed by the ElCamino (on the back burner because of health issues right now) then building Model cars and semi trucks! (just really stated back up after about a 7 years hiatus)

I've got this model sitting next to my desk right now Johnny, brand new never opened, the plastic is still on the box

http://cgi.ebay.com/1975-Ertl-1%2F25...28171001r27087

I found it in my parents basement after mom passed away, along with about 50 or 60 other brand new models. I think this is the only semi though

http://cgi.ebay.com/AMT-629-Internat...item53deec3c4a Here's the conventional model of the Transtar.Bought one of these new in 1977,not the model the real truck. Was even the same color scheme as this.Had a NTC-350 Cummins small cam,RTO-12513 trans, and lousy IHC RA-355 rear ends.Just a hair over $40k back then.Drove that truck over a million miles, stretched the 200" wheelbase 35" and added SQHD Rockwells with air-ride.In 1986 I removed the drivetrain and built a new IHC Black 4300 glider, with a 72" raised roof sleeper.Drove that one another 900k and sold the truck.Bought my current truck,1995 IHC 9300 Eagle,Viper Red, 72" raised roof with a Cummins N-14 525,15 Spd overdrive, with N-400 40k rears.Don't drive much anymore, truck only has 570k on it,barely broken in.Doing my books for the year, only ran 11,700 miles in 09.Probably drive the Chevelle and Elky more than that.:)

Hey Jeff,
I am also interested in woodworking/cabinet making.
I have lots of tools dedicated to that, but find little time or space to really get going on projects. Have a few unfinished pieces to work on before new projects can be started. (I hate staining and finishing). post up some pics, they will be appreciated.

Also used to really be into custom paint and airbrushing but have not done that for quite a few years. I have two paint guns and one new airbrush that I have never even used yet.

Interested in: mountain bikes, cameras, digital graphics / design.
Have more interests than I have time or money for.

Let me figure out how to work my scanner and I will show a kitchen and bar I built for a former employer. Im the same as you, hate staining/ finishing . My grandpa was a master woodworker, we used to have a store nearby that was called unfinished projects or something like that, it was all raw wood products that people would buy and finish themselves in a color that matched there needs. My grandpa did very well in that store selling his unfinished stuff, he didnt like finishing either. His big thing was building beautiful and elegant grandfather clocks

Jeff

I would love to build a clock in the future. I want to design a modern or contemporary version of a grandfather clock. Maybe a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired piece. Look forward to your photos.
