Charlie Manson look a-like telling me he can't look at me for too long! Wow! Just for that I'm going to text you 'selfies' of me everyday. You'll be sorry, you messed with the wrong guy Tony.

Oh, and I don't need AC and sewer hookup. I have a generator and the tanks will dump nicely onto the ground. Don't worry, it's all bio-degradable.

flash 10-25-2014 07:48 PM

Uh Oh ,Hank plays hard ball ,this could get messy.

Ms Grumpy 10-25-2014 10:11 PM

And smelly from the sound of it.

1/4 mile down the trail...Withalacoochie River. My brother has a big pond in his back yard. They came out a month or so ago and cleaned the weeds out. They took out 27 snakes. The kind that kill you!.No pond for me.

FlintTony 10-26-2014 04:21 AM

Hank, there are noise restrictions you must abide by. No generators. With the shit that I've been through with the EPA and Water conservation idiots down there, you may want to re-think that dumping the sewer on the ground.

Hank70SS 10-26-2014 07:15 AM

Tony, that's going to take all the fun out of our visit.

Your place is looking great.

carpoor 10-26-2014 11:58 AM

What about a back stop Tony? Or did the EPA say the lead and brass associated with it would be damaging to the environment?

I have the EPA convinced that I am a tree hugging, varmit loving, insect loving, flower child that would never cause any issues that could disrupt the ever so fragile eco system anywhere in the world, let alone pollute the atmosphere with evil gun powder and contaminate the precious earth with any amount of lead.

PS. I have a huge mound of dirt that I plan on playing "king on the mountain" with all of gods little creatures that abound on the property. Or maybe not.

What is that saying...The end justifies the means...

You be that tree hugger until you get what you want.

I harvested a 7 point buck off our back 40 yesterday without firing a shot ,will pick it up from the processor tomorrow . Gods creatures are very tasty .

Putting the asphalt millings on the gravel drive-way. Final adjustment on the gate to match the concrete.

Hank70SS 10-31-2014 05:03 PM

Damn Tony, looks like you have your own compound or villa or whatever. You're putting together quite a place there.

FlintTony 10-31-2014 06:02 PM

Yep Hank. That's what I'm aiming for. My own, private, secluded, gated and fenced hide-away. May even put up some of those "trespassers will be shot dead" signs. I hope to someday sell this place here and build the same thing up north. That's been my plan for years, but the housing market put the skids on that for now. Might have to sell another car to accomplish that move. So be it.

Hank70SS 11-01-2014 06:51 AM

Do you have any property up north? Now might be the time to buy the property even if you don't do anything with it for a while.

So what's left to do in Fl? Sounds like the plumbing and electrical are done. We're on page 18 now so I can't remember exactly what's been done and what hasn't.

FlintTony 11-01-2014 07:40 AM

No property up north yet. Looking for the perfect chunk of ground.

The house and attached garage electrical should be done this week-end, rough plumbing is all done in the house and big garage. Insulation should be done in the next couple of weeks in all buildings. Drywall is still up in the air. The prices I've gotten have me thinking that we may end up doing it ourselves. As much as I don't want to. The cabinets are all built and down there. The interior doors and all trim and crown are being made now, same guys that built the cabinets are doing them. Small family run cabinet shop in Frankenmuth. I'll be down there the first week of Dec for a couple of weeks. Have to get the fence and gates done before the first of the year. Had the dozer guy there yesterday clearing a path through the woods for some of the fence. He also took care of the big trees that came down in a storm. This snow and ice we got last night sure makes me want to be there instead of here. I'm heading to the Chiropractor this morning to start a series of "decompression" shit. When I fell last year on the ice, I twisted some stuff pretty good in my back. Then went to Fl and worked my ass off. Mucho pain lately. X-rays and MRI show I need some major work done, so I'll start with him and see how it goes. Hope to be better in a few weeks.

FlintTony 11-10-2014 03:57 PM

Went to cabinet shop today to look at the doors trim. I like them.

Awesome work.

flash 11-10-2014 07:36 PM

WOW ,they do nice work.

shadowgray396 11-10-2014 08:19 PM

Like them also

RBeckman 11-10-2014 09:05 PM

very very nice

FlintTony 11-11-2014 04:38 AM

Yep, they do nice work. The crappy cell phone pictures don't do them justice. Everything on the cabinets and doors is American made. The door hinges are ball-bearing type, due to the weight of the doors. Each of the 3'doors weighs 85 pounds. Total weight of the trim and doors is 3500 pounds. My brother is going to haul them back to Florida next week. He will be running a little over-weight in his truck, but the fines aren't too much.

FlintTony 12-16-2014 04:51 AM

I've been down here in Florida for two weeks now. Be back home this afternoon. Got a bunch accomplished. The drywall guys started yesterday. All the buildings are insulated now. I had the foam put in all of them. Makes a world of difference.
When I was here, this is a list of the trades I did.
Plumber
Electrician
Cable guy
Mechanic
Fence installer
Post hole machine
Ditch digger
Landscaper
Carpenter
Tractor operator, mucho brush hogging and backfilling
Yard drain specialist...I dug an 80' thench and installed a grated area drain

I have a few pictures that I can put up if anyone wants to see them. Been a long two weeks. I'm sore in spots I didn't know I had.

Hank70SS 12-16-2014 07:09 AM

Is that rough or finish carpentry? I didn't see anything about painting, looks like you're slacking off Tony.

Of course we want to see pictures, post them when you get home and have caught your breath.

RBeckman 12-16-2014 07:53 AM

Not bad for a old guy

flash 12-16-2014 08:46 AM

Im always in for more pics .

RBeckman 12-16-2014 11:01 AM

Just air drop them from your Flip Phone to the cloud them into your files Tony.

FlintTony 12-16-2014 05:53 PM

Rough framing Hank. The drywall guy had some ideas for the tray ceilings, so we added some backing for him. The walls are 9 feet tall where the trays are, so we wanted 54" drywall sheets. None available, so we had to add backing in every wall for the extra joint. Also got the 3/4 bath in the shop all framed, plumbed, and wired. Installed a livestock watering tank, with an automatic fill valve. Put in 4 gates, with "H" posts on all of them. Drove over 100 steel fence posts with that stinking primitive driver that you lift up and smash down on the post. Strung three 330' foot rolls of farm fence.

The drywall guy is from Ohio. He is higher on his price, but he is dependable and does excellent work. He will be painting the whole thing too.

Ric, Kathy seems to think that I need one of those smart phones. Me, not so much.

Will try to get some pictures put on here in the next day or so. Got a ton of shit to catch up on here.

Hank70SS 12-16-2014 06:21 PM

As Ric said, not bad for an old guy. Can't believe how much you've done there in the past year.

Will you have some Angus beef steaks from your ranch when we stop by?

FlintTony 12-17-2014 05:17 AM

Actually, I'm way ahead of my original schedule. When I started this project, I was thinking it would take at least a couple of years, as we are doing so much of it ourselves and I'm over a thousand miles away. It's been just a little over a year since we started clearing the land. If all goes as planned with the drywall, I will be back down there in a month to start installing the cabinets, interior doors, and trim.

The cows that are coming in are a mixed breed. I forgot what they are called, but the name won't make a difference as to how they taste. Can a guy be arrested for cattle rustling on his own land?

flash 12-17-2014 06:20 AM

He's guilty ,hang that cattle russler . LOL

My photobucket is full, so I'll have to empty that out. I have more new pictures, but I don't feel like messing with PB now.

FlintTony 12-19-2014 04:48 AM

I have no idea what happened to the stinking pictures.

flash 12-19-2014 06:18 AM

The ones that came thru are good .

RBeckman 12-19-2014 08:02 AM
