John, lots more done now. Drywall is all done and painted. Vinyl floors are installed. Wiring is almost finished, I have power on now. My brother is just getting started on the vanities and medicine cabinets. Trim, doors, and cabinets are next. Had some more concrete poured. I was supposed to be down there right now. My wife has been having mucho problems with her rotator cuff. She was scheduled to go in for surgery on the 10th of Feb, but it has gotten so bad they moved the surgery up to next Thursday. She is in so much pain, she can't do much around here, so she wanted me to stay home. I had planned to be there for two weeks now and two weeks at the end of Feb. All that's changed for now. Doc says 3-6 months recovery time from the operation.

I can't figure out how to post more pictures. My Photobucket account says I have used all my storage space up. I've been deleting some pictures, but it still says all used up. When I get something figured out, I'll post some more pictures.

flash 02-09-2015 09:09 AM

It wont let me see them ,just a bunch of adds .

FlintTony 02-09-2015 09:18 AM

Thanks John. I'll try to figure it out. I deleted the post.

I think this will work. Someone let me know if it shows up?

OK, I can see a picture, so it must be working. Will post more.

Ceiling fans, 6 for the covered porch and 6 for the house interior. I tried like hell to find American made ones, but at over 600 each, I had to draw a line. So these are from the box stores.

flash 02-11-2015 11:16 AM

Its hard to find anything made over here that I can afford .Tony ,you have a heck of a nice place there .

shadowgray396 02-11-2015 03:05 PM

I wish I was that far along. Looks like a Home Depot run.

Ms Grumpy 02-11-2015 05:41 PM

It is like a car build. The suspense of what it is going to look like and the progress just makes all the work so worth every struggle.

It looks awesome !!

FlintTony 02-11-2015 05:56 PM

Thank you all. I'm happy to share the build.

The sod is supposed to go in next week. That should really change the looks of the yard. I'm pretty excited to see that change.

On another note, the relator that we bought the property from called my brother and wanted to talk to him. My brother met him over there. Seems the realtor has been driving by quite a bit, saw the gate open, and went back there and looked around. He wants to buy the place. He will give me twice what I paid for the land and almost double what we have spent on construction. Told him "no thanks".

FlintTony 04-03-2015 06:56 AM

Got some green grass now.

Yeah, I can't wait, except my wife Kathy fell and broke her arm in two places today. Spent 6 hours at emergency this afternoon. Same arm that she had the rotator cuff surgery on 8 weeks ago, I was supposed to head down there next Sunday. Looks like I'll be back on that stinkin vacuum sweeper, doing dishes, cooking, cleaning, doing laundry and all that shit that I was doing when she got out of the hospital. My head is gonna explode.

Sorry to hear about Kathy, that sucks I bet she tired of you doing all the cleaning and cooking as well as I can't see her just sitting around.

You could always hire a live in 18 year old blonde Swedish house keeper / cook to help during her recovery.

FlintTony 04-05-2015 05:34 AM

She was doing great. I had been relieved of most of the housework. That blonde thing is the best idea that I've heard in a long time.

I don't think so. But I've been wrong before.

Ms Grumpy 04-05-2015 06:55 PM

Odds are there are a few wives that read this forum.

Hank70SS 04-06-2015 09:29 AM

Place is looking great Tony. You did a nice job putting it all together.

Tell Kathy we're sorry to hear about arm and to get well soon. Hope she doesn't read this forum, she might want to hire a cabana boy to come in and help instead of a Swedish 18 year blonde.

FlintTony 04-06-2015 10:16 AM

Hank, I hate this housework so much, I'd pay for the boy. When we were in the emergency room, she asked me if I wanted to trade her in for two thirty year olds. Food for thought.

She goes to the Doc on Wed to see what he can do. I'm hoping I'll still be able to get down there and get some work done. I tell ya, I'm going crazy.

I spent about 10 hours putting music on an Sd card that is supposed to make music on my filipper phone. Don't play. Took it to the phone guy and he said it was formatted on some WMA shit and is supposed to be on MP3, so if he can't convert it, I'll have to start over. Fun times for sure. I'm going out now to pull the winter fence from the pond. Most likely, I'll fall into that freezing water.

Ray Barnes 04-08-2015 06:34 AM

Your place is looking good. Sorry to hear about Kathy. As for your music... WMA. MP3,... hell break out that old 8 track and jam dude.

Ray, I don't think Tony's favorite singer Justin Beber released his catalog of music to 8 track yet.

FlintTony 04-09-2015 05:55 PM

This is insane. I got the sd card to work on my flipper, but now I am having a hell of a time trying to get a 2.5 to 3.5MM adapter that will work. All the new stuff is 3.5, so of course my dinosaur phone won't take any of the headphones.

Ray, if I could carry a battery and my 8 track o the plane, that bitch would be going!!!

Ric, who is that??????? Is he one of Waylon Jennings kids?

Hank70SS 04-09-2015 06:08 PM

Damn Tony, you got all your music on an SD card and got it to play on your flipper phone! You have now officially joined the tech era. I didn't know a flipper phone would even accept an SD card. I'm calling you with all my tech problems from now on.
