Cruisin the Coast
 

Anyone from here going to Cruisin the Coast in October? I am thinking about going down for a few days and wondering if anybody is going and taking their car?

Lets see a show of cars!! :)

My wife and I will be there again as well as several members of the Midsouth Chevelle Club ,there will be some others from Peachstate Chevelles and Heart of Dixie too. We will be in our 72 convertible. We are staying in De'iberville for 7 days at an extended stay place that is very affordable .

For some reason,I'm not suprised.:)

Gary ,you like the heat so Mississippi would fit you just right. It can be plum hot during the CTC event .You should fly down and hang out with us ,see all kinds of neat hot rods. We stay the week for about $375 ,which isnt bad considering some places are $100 and up per night.

John:

I'll look for you there. Plan on coming in Thursday and leave Sunday. Won't be in my Chevelle, since it is in the dreaded "I'll work on it later when i have some money and time" syndrome. If memopry serves me well, last year there was a banner set up on 90 with "Texas Chevelle Club" or something on it. Look forward to meeting you if I can reconize your car!

Also, anyone going have suggestions for good places to eat?

Gary ,you dont have to move .We will let you come down and visit . Durand ,there are all kinds of restuarants there and the casinos have large food bars too. When you are down there you can call my cell and we will try to meet somewhere ,its 770-833-6975.

I don't know if I'll be there this year AGAIN. I'd sure like to go, but I just don't know right now. It will depend on a lot of things for me.

Last summer, I was thoroughly and completely impressed with the Friday night buffet at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi.

I think your meal is free at Hard Rock Casino anytime during the month of your birthday. Mine was last year ,all I had to do was show my drivers license .May try it again this time.

Sounds like you guy and gals have a lot of fun. Our club seems to not do that much. I'm going to a car show this weeknd down at Lincoln city on the coast, but the fore cast is for rain. My be a small turn out. I was hoping to have the Chevelle ready, but so far I'm waiting on others to get there acts together. No interior yet.

The waiting game never ends, does it Ray. Heck my car is pretty much done, but I am waiting on all the little things to get finished.

If you have the opportunity, come on down if possible. I throughly enjoy it. I'll be there Monday and will leave on Thursday. No car just going for the fun and enjoyment.

We are almost packed and ready to go early Sunday morning.

The weather is going to be awesome...80 and arid/sunny during the day, and 55-60 at night. I'm sure you guys will have fun.

I hope you and the Mrs have a great time. Post some pics when you get back. For those of us here in Michigan we would love to see the sun.

I was there Monday thru Thursday but left your phone number at the office. Kept looking for your car with "Flash" on it but I did not see it. Left a message elsewhere here in the forums to you. Hopefully I'll see you next year, and I will have a car entered there......

Durand ,we probably crossed paths many times without knowing it as there were so many Chevelles everywhere you looked .We tried to leave a copy of Chucks extra Chevelle World Magazines in every Chevelle down there .He gave us 2 cases to hand out and they went quickly .I look forward to next years Cruisin The Coast already ,look forward to meeting you too.
