Crager SS pics & input ?? Anyone?

Anybody on here have them & have some pics & input ? What size wheel & tire did you go with? Any issues? I'm pretty sure this is the route I want to go but haven't decided on the sizes yet.

Thanks for anything you might have ! :ntwrthy:

Chris,

Everything looks good with Cragar S/S rims. I'd say 15x8 rims with 275 in the back and 235 up front would look good.

Warputer 09-15-2010 07:19 PM

I was thinking 15x8 on all 4 corners with a 245/60 front & 275/60 rear. I guess the offset should be the same on all 4? About a 4.5?

That sounds pretty good. Mine are staggered, 255/60 rear 205/70 front...

Looks sweet! Very good looking car.

Highway star...car looks great.

Chris, I personally think with Cragars with no lettering looks the best, lettering would take away from the chrome of the Cragars.

Wow ,that looks good.

Thanks guys. Those are the best pictures I've ever taken of my car, and likely the best it has looked, possibly in its life. It was all cleaned up to go to a little local church car show. I was going there just to show my car, and visit my friends, like we all do. It was the first show I'd been to since rebuilding the engine over this past winter. That was the day I was wildly surprised with a 2nd place trophy at a small local show. My first trophy. :D 1st place went to an original owner 1970 LS5.

I am going to put skinnier tires on when these are replaced, probably 245/60s on all 4 corners. I do not like the 205s up front, and the 255s are too wide in the back, I might snap my 10 bolt if they were to plant themselves one day.

Jake, I got 245 60's all the way around and I like the stance. I like all the tires to be the same size as well.

245/60 fits well on a 7" rim. I have that all the way around. Also have a set 15x8 with 275s I throw on the rear sometimes, helps keep the rpm's down on the highway with 3.73 rear.

Just commented at Autofest, to Ray I think, how much I like the old style Crager wheels. Saw a nice 70 with a set and it looked good.

Jake your car looks great, I agree a little more tire up front would look even better.

If you get Cragar SS's you have to have them wrapped around BF Goodrich Radial T/A's. They are the classic combo.
