Black Friday

So are you out there with all the crazy people today?. Not me, there's not that much I need that badly. The wife and I never use a credit cards to buy gifts at Christmas so we don't have to take the next year to pay them off. When the kids were younger we use to get up a 3am to go and do shopping, just for a few special items. Now its started onThanksgivibg for some stores. I stillthink Thanksgiving should be for family or helping someone in need, not for profit. Have a great weekend, I'm off to do a remodel job today since work is slow.

Not us, ain't going out there with all the crazies. People become rude, nasty, even violent to try and save a few bucks. Nothing we really need or want that bad.

Wife is mad at me because I wouldnt wake up at 4:00 am and drive my pickup down to WallyWorld to pick up the 32 inch TV that is supposed waiting for her to buy. .... I would rather read a book!

I hate shopping so going out today is a definite no no.

Then Nance showed me something I could not live without in the papers. We ran out this afternoon, parked at the front door, walked in and paid and left. Not so bad but I wont temp fate again :)

You need to post some pics in the restoration or paint forum for all to see.

I woke up at 3am last year and went to wallyworld to get a laptop. I didn't get the one I originally wanted because they misplaced them.:( They made it right though. I ended up with an $800 Dell laptop for half price! :D I stayed home this time and did a brake job on my truck.

My son went to Home Depot to get a frig for his new house. They had a great deal on one, The only thing is he might get it in February if they can get them in. He didn't buy it.

I wanted to go out and get an electric smoker. But after about 5 minutes of consideration I decided it was warmer, quieter and nicer to stay home. I watched the news and saw the stampede of people in New York, and remembered about 10 years ago when David and I did do the black friday thing.

Waited for hours and hours, only to get into the store and the advertised item we wanted was gone. They only had 5 per store. I think it was then that we decided never again.

Heck, even today, Saturday, we ventured out to return something and to get a couple of things at small stores. And all the parking lots were full.

No black Friday shopping here.

I just am curious why he is so happy to have a new set of knives. Now if he buys a big freezer it might be time to leave.
