Oh boy, more snow

They're talking about up to 18" between tomorrow and Wednesday. I can hardly wait. :(

shadowgray396 01-31-2011 08:27 AM

Dry and clear again this week. About 45 all week. I mowed the lawn yesterday it was 58 here.

Derek69SS 01-31-2011 08:50 AM

It's started here... I still need to fix my snowblower after breaking it from the last snowfall. :o

Hank70SS 01-31-2011 08:54 AM

I don't think my snowblower will handle 18". It's just a small single stage one.

I agree. If you dont have a garage with some heat up that way. I can see why some of these car projects take years.

grumpy 01-31-2011 01:50 PM

Just got some gas for the Toro. Its gonna get one heck of a workout soon.

RBeckman 01-31-2011 07:30 PM

I'm down in Indiana till Wednesday afternoon and they are predicting over 22". I just received my room for a couple more days. Good thing my wife and daughters vehicles have AWD as I will not be home to plow the driveway.

Ms Grumpy 02-01-2011 04:49 AM

We all need to remember to check on our seniors, whether they are family or friends. I called my mom yesterday and I am so glad that my mom lives in a condo community that plows and salts the streets and sidewalks for everyone there. Makes me worry a little less.

We live on a corner off a main street and we get a lot of snow right at the end of our driveway, I don't look forward to shoveling that snow....

Oh yeah...That's why I have children still living at home !!

Just sitting here playing on the computer while it is snowing, temp is 1 above with wind chill minus 22 thinking, "Wonder if the guys at work are enjoying today like I am". (That being said, I retired last fall after 36 years with The Boeing Company, Flight Line Transportation. HATED moving aircraft on ice and snow.) Hope all who have to get out in this STAY SAFE and STAY WARM.

Okay, so who's going to check on me?

Hank70SS 02-01-2011 02:12 PM

Well we only got about 1/4" last night. They did change the track of the 2nd storm and we're in the 15" area, we'll see. I did go fill up the gas cans because they're talking about power outages, 40mph winds with all the snow.

shadowgray396 02-01-2011 06:05 PM

Sounds cold Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

RBeckman 02-01-2011 07:57 PM

I'm stuck in Fort Wayne Indiana and the snow is coming down hard and 30 mph winds and we expecting over 20" in the next 18 hours. They have stopped plowing till Wednesday morning. I want to go home

FlintTony 02-02-2011 05:09 AM

I had to shovel the snow out of the family room this morning! I open the slider that goes onto the deck and the drifts are so high they fell into the house. The drifts must be 2-3 feet high. I swore at the snow.

Did that help?

We had a little snow on the steps and family room doors but patio is under an overhead enclosed deck. There's bare pavement between the house and the shed from the wind blowing through there. Had to tell how much snow we got because of the wind. The motorhome has less snow on it today then it did a couple of days ago. They say we're in a lull right now and the snow will start again soon but only a few more inches.

FlintTony 02-02-2011 09:36 AM

Hell yes it helped! We just now got the deck cleared off. Time to fire up the "SS Ford".

Hank70SS 02-02-2011 02:02 PM

So much for the snow ending at noon. It's snowing pretty good and blowing around. Got the driveway pretty well cleaned off with my non-SS small block Ariens snowblower, doesn't even have posi-traction. Course it will need to be done again soon if this snow keeps up.

flash 02-02-2011 05:16 PM

We had rain yesterday ,better than snow everytime .Today just windy and cold with clouds everywhere .Im ready for spring .

shadowgray396 02-02-2011 05:21 PM

So far windy and cold, but sunny. But I know that won't last forever. Rain will be back soon.

Didn't you see the snow on the outside of the door wall ?

Hank70SS 02-02-2011 06:37 PM

Well the snow kept up and the wind kept blowing. My son just got done doing the driveway again. The snow and wind has stopped so we should be good for a few more days.

Hope I can get the motorhome out when it's time to go to FL. The piles of snow in front and behind it are getting kind of high.

Nah. That was at 4:45 am. Too dark to see how high the drifts were.

Ms Grumpy 02-03-2011 07:01 PM

And I thought that we started shoveling snow early. You definitely beat us cause we didn't start til 7am.

grandsport 02-03-2011 07:10 PM
