Looking to store my car

I have determined that my garage may not be the best place to store my car this winter. I have an older garage and it seems to like to hold the humidity and it sits underneath a HUGE Weeping Willow that has lost branches in the last few years, especially during ice storms. A few years ago it lost a branch large enough to go thru the roof of my house.

So here I am considering renting some space to store my car. Now I know that I am a little late in the season to look for a place but it doesn't hurt to look. I was just wondering if anyone had anything in particular that I should look for when scoping out a place. Also, if any of the Michigan guys have any suggestions of places. I have found quite a few, and some pretty close. And I have also found a variety of prices.

Just thought I would ask for input. Thanks

You can store it down here for free as long as I can play with it (I mean move it around) ,Id make room in my shop for you.

Check out Craig's list under parking storage, there are a lot of space available.

A heated storage would be best if the price is not to far out of line, and you may find a private person who has storage at a better price.

I was thinking about a storage facility, but thought that if anyone knew of someone who had the space, needed a few extra bucks and was trustworthy.

i am thinking about doing the same thing to my rx7 because i want to be able to have my wife park in the garage in the winter since she takes my daughter to day care in the am and its always cold here in the poconos

Check to see if your insurance covers it if something should happen while it is stored away from home. Most full coverages probably do but it doesn't hurt to ask if the storage place is insured for loss as well.
I'm not to up on it but I would not want any surprises if something were to happen.

Find someone local that you trust that has a car trailer. I've stored a few Chevelles in my Haulmark 24' enclosed trailer in previous years during the winter months just to get it out of my way.
It's like having an extra garage...

Bill, most of the guys store things in their trailer for the winter. Usually it is one of their cars while they work on another. grumpy and I considered buying a trailer this year, but knowing the city I live in and the fact that we have a small yard, the city would probably ticket us for having such a large vehicle. As it sits right now, my car is tucked away for a winter slumber in my garage.
