Sold my 427 Nova

I built a 1970 SS 427 Nova a few years back. My brother Doug has wanted it since he first saw it. After he drove it, he's been pretty relentless about getting it from me. About 20 years ago, I built a 1937 Harley, 80" flathead. He bought that from me around 15 years ago. I'm getting the bike, two 1940's Goulding side-cars, a bunch of spare parts, and a big chunk of change for the Nova. I'm thinking that I should go do a couple of second gear, 6 grand burn-outs with the Nova before we swap titles. Just for fun, ya know.

Congrats, I think I would pass on the burn out you don't anything happening to the Nova before you swap titles. Lol

Do you have any pictures of it? I'm sure it looks sweet.

VERY NICE ,I would have a hard time parting with that one.

Nice one Tony, I'm hoping you don't one of those videos of the Camaro dining that because it would be embarrassing plus the Camaro reclines at 5000

That was awesome Tony!

Saw Ric and Ray today at Baker's. Ric mentioned this post. Damn Tony, I loved that car. You could have donated it to the 'Hank Fund'. I would have given you a receipt, full retail value for tax purposes. When is Doug picking it up, still time for me to come up and pull a few hole shots with it before then?

How's he doing? They got things under control from the knee surgery/replacement, hope so. Tell him I said hi and hope he's doing well, even if he did take my car.

FlintTony 05-06-2012 07:41 PM

Ric...Well uh, uh, I don't remember , yeah that's it, I don't remember doing anything like that with your Camaro. And how do you know it runs out of steam at 5 grand? You been playing around with it?

Hank, Doug is still 50-50 if he keeps the new knee. His 38 days of intravenous meds is up today. They will do a sample in 2 weeks to see if the infection is gone. If not, out comes the knee.
I'm going to miss the Nova. It is a blast to drive. I'll build something else. I want to get that 37 HD in top shape, then on to something else. I'd like to get started on the Florida shop pretty soon. As soon as Doug's house is done, I hope.

Thanks everyone else for the comments.

Hope all goes well with Doug. That would really suck if they have to pull that new knee out. Hey, I'll drive the motorhome down FL and help you with the shop. Doug can't being that kind of stuff for quite awhile.

Tony, that was cool. Sounds like you will be getting more projects soon. Can't wait to see what you have planned.

Sad to see the nova go, but you still has the best sitting there (69 Chevelle).
