Michigan folks chime in

Just curious how many of us Michiganders are here.

Animal69 01-06-2010 04:55 PM

I'm here!Waving:)

Hank70SS 01-06-2010 05:27 PM

Count me in.

Highway Star 01-06-2010 06:04 PM

My father's father was from Ionia. He was one of 5 brothers. When he came back from WW2, he followed the circus out of town...all the way to NY. I still have lots of family up there, and my sister also lives in MI, in Kalamazoo. Maube I can be a Michigan folk by proxy or something. :D

grumpy 01-06-2010 08:58 PM

The reason for my question was I was thinking of organizing a one day chevelle show here in the greater Detroit area this cruising season.

Hank70SS 01-07-2010 03:47 PM

ttt, plus some more to hit the 10 char limit

FlintTony 01-07-2010 06:21 PM

Reporting in as requested.

I think it's a good idea. I'm in.

Hey maybe we can use Hank,s yard...it's big enough:). Plus he's always got beer.

I can supply the yard but I'm not sure I can afford to supply the beer for a bunch of car guys.

Seriously we could do it at my house. I can probably get 12 cars in the driveway, the side street doesn't go anywhere but to the house behind and if that's enough you can park on the grass.

Highway Star 01-12-2010 04:57 PM

Well, I guess I won't really be joining this little gang. Bummer, sounds like fun. :D Tilt a few back for me guys.

Sounds cool. Lets see how many more chime in before cruising season and we will take it from there.

If there was enough interest I have access to several hotels that would welcome us with open arms as long as we do a two day show. Their lots are huge, the hotels are clean and very near shopping for the wives. I am pretty good at prying door prizes from companies to : )

We'd love to have but it is a long ways. Maybe we could do a net meeting with a video cam and audio. :)

RBeckman 04-26-2010 08:36 PM

I'm in and hopefully I get my 5 speed installed this month and I can go anywhere....I hated driving at 60mph and 3000rpm it sounded like it was going to blow.

Hank70SS 04-27-2010 06:54 AM

Hi Rick, glad you stopped in. Haven't heard from you since Frankemuth last year. What you been up to?

I have been real busy, have been on a project that has kept me back and forth to Fort Wayne since Oct. I'm just not finishing it up and still behind on my regular duties and have had no time at all. Hell, I lost 5 vacation days last year because I did not get a chance to use them, but it worked out as I got a great bonus and was able to get my new 5 speed. When does Bakers start?

grandsport 04-28-2010 08:55 PM

Hi Ric,I'm Grandsport. Waving I'm the one who's posts are really about nothing and not helpful in any way,but it seems like the guys here like me.:)

Hank70SS 04-29-2010 06:35 AM

Don't think Baker's officially starts until Memorial Day but I'm not sure.

Just googled Bakers, their website says cruise season starts this Sunday! Man I got to get that dash finished.

Hank, what are you doing to the dash? I just got back from the first cruise at Halo Burger in Grand Blanc and going to tear the interior out tomorrow to start my little project. It should go pretty quick, I will have to order the drive shaft and that should take a week or two, so I will be ready by memorial day.

grandsport 05-01-2010 08:32 PM

Hi Ric,Waving

Hank70SS 05-01-2010 08:33 PM

I got gauge conversion kit, tach, amp and temp gauges. Mine was an SS dash but didn't have the gauge package. While the dash is out I'm restoring that and the kick panels. Also had to unwrap and re-wrap the engine harness, forward light harness and dash harness to add/move wires.

grandsport 05-01-2010 09:03 PM

I won't give up until Ric waves back at me and says helloWaving.

We are trying to get a bunch of friends together that are taking their cars to Autorama. If anyone is interested we can start another thread, or you can even PM me.

I think that is a great idea.
