That looks like the factory SS stripe for '69. The ends are a little different though. Maybe painted on without a template? (NO, the '68's and '69's did NOT have the "band aid" stripes on the hood and deck lid from the factory)

The reason I asked about where he got them was because I wanted to make sure of not making the same mistake he did and having them on my car. Big difference from factory.

On certain cars, I've put graphics down that were supposed to resemble factory graphics by eyeballing them. Sometimes I'm dead on. Other times, ...not so much. I only guess when it's not important or the customer wants to make specific variations. That's why I threw out that maybe that's what happened here.
