spam coming from this site
 

This is the only forum that I'm on that I get spam from. I mean 30 or more a day. Doesn't the site have filters to prevent this from happening? I get online dating, penis enlargement, and even hacked e mails out of my address book from people I know names in the address. It's a great site but if it doesn't stop I'll be forced to go elsewhere. Anyone else have this problem

I haven't had any.

I do get ones that say they're from certain sites though that aren't. :(

JanS, it has been checked and it is not this site. You need to do a virus sweep of your computer, you might be infected with Malware, which you can pick up any where on the web. As you can see by the responses from other members, they don't have any problems.

Just so everyone knows, every night every one of our sites, Audiokarma.org, Politicalchat.org, Airgunsforum.net, Videokarma.org and Chevelleforums.org are scanned and we are sent a report of any possible problems.

I hope you solve your problem soon.

I unsubscribed from the forum yesterday morning and have not received another e mail on behalf of the forum with a link to pornography. Yesterday before I did this I received e mails for child pornography sites. I'm still registered and my name shows up when I click on the forum link so it looks like they have stopped. It will be interesting now to see if I get anymore after posting again. The way the e mails are addressed are with a different name everytime and saying on behalf of the Chevrolet Chevelle Forum. I could see gettting them if I used those sites but I never have.

I am dumbfounded by this JanS. If you can will you forward one of these e-mails to [email protected]. We want research this further.

Please put in the subject line, Chevelle forums spam.

I wish I could but have nothing to send you now as they have stopped. Not a one in over 2 days. I guess by un-subscribing it prevents forum posts to me going to my e mail account? If all that have replied about this have their accounts set up this way maybe that's why you don't get them? Just guessing here.

How do you un-subscribe from this forum?

At the bottom of an e mail on behalf of the forum there are links to options, one of them being un-subscribing. I clicked on the link and chose to do so and it asked me if I was sure. I clicked yes and a bit later checked my e mail and received notification that I was un-subscribed.

Jan, did you send a copy of one of those e-mails our way ?
