Nice Chevelle and the Droptop Camaro aint bad either .
Thanks!! We bought the Camaro new in 99, it's a loaded SS and only has 8,850 miles on it.
I wouldn't mind either of them. Nice cars.
Two very nice cars
Thanks guys!!
Wow, only 8,850 miles since 99'? How do you resist the urge to drive it? I logged over fifty thousand miles on my 2000 Z28 in the first two years. I couldn't get enough seat time.
We would take it out for cruise nights/car shows, most of the miles are from driving it to Denver for the Super Chevy show and a few trips to Springfield,Mo for Street Machine Nationals.
It has also made a few 1/4 mile passes too, best pass 13.27 @ 108 http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...ndstuff028.jpg |
Love the fact that you have taken it down the strip a few times.
Nice cars! Your were in my neck of the woods, too!
Do you plan on coming back next year to the Street Machine Nationals? I'm usually there. I wasn't this year because my Chevelle wasn't done. Last year I had my burnt orange/black Phase III Baldwin Motion Nova there. (It was a '77 Nova and a Motion tribute) |
The only problem I see with the Camaro is the top is up but I sure would enjoy driving it.
very nice!!
Thanks guys!!
Alan, I missed it this year too (wife had to work & oldest son was in a baseball tournament ) we were there last year with the Chevelle and Camaro. For 2013 we are going to both Car Craft Magazine Street Machine Nationals Du Quion, IL - June 28-30, 2013 and O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Machine Nationals Springfield, MO - Sept. 28-29, 2013 I'm trying to get the first car I bought new (10 Nov 1987) ready for the Springfield Street Machine Nationals. If it's road worthy we will leave the Chevelle at home and bring our 87 Monte Carlo SS pro street and the Camaro. It's a project that I started in 1996. I have started on it many times, get discouraged then I take it back to my parents house where it just sets in thier garge. I'm going to try to stay on it this time. |
Got pics of the Monte ?
They are not the best pics, I had the camera in the wrong setting :(

We are going to drive it like this for a few shows and then go back to the original color white. If you leave the paint like that, you should be easy to spot in a crowd! :D
I hope to see you around next year. |
Monty looks very Mean .
That Monte will look great white with the factory graphics.
I'm going back white but I was thinking of ghosting the factory graphics.
It should look a alot like it did when I brought it home from the chasis shop. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...S/602ce9f2.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...S/78129988.jpg |
Looks like that Monty gets up and goes. Like it.
