Maryland Chevelle Show

Anyone from here going to the show ? We are thinking about driving the vert up once we get more info .

BillsCamino 01-23-2013 07:53 PM

I've attended the MD show 4-5 times.
EXCELLENT venue!!!
Held in North East, MD in that town's city park located right on Chesapeake Bay.
Great location....this sleepy little town has lots of great restaurants and antique shops to browse.
Located halfway between Philly and Baltimore just a few miles off I-95.

flash 01-23-2013 08:33 PM

Bill ,what would be the best route to drive up ?

BillsCamino 01-24-2013 04:40 AM

Via the Interstate?? I-85 north to I-95N.
Or a much more scenic route...I-75N; I-40E; I-81N and then cut over above Wash DC/around Baltimore to I-95N.
This route will take you thru Shenandoah area...parallel to the Blue Ridge Pkwy.
I've driven both routes before. I'd guess about a 14hr drive...depending on traffic.
Let me know...maybe we'll caravan. ;)

I think that as long as you have friends at these shows, that the people who are "non friends" stay away. Besides if flash is gonna be there with the Mrs. the show would be a blast.

flash 01-25-2013 11:30 AM

Gary ,nobody will bother you there .

flash 01-25-2013 08:36 PM

We are trying to figure out when to leave and when to come back and what direction to head after the show for a few days . Decisions ,decisions .

flash 01-27-2013 07:22 PM

We filled out the entry form and wrote the check and will put it in the mail tomorrow .This is a show we have always wanted to go to and we look forward to it .

Never in my life has such hatred been aimed at me.I know it is only a car forum, but some of the members at Team Chevelle should be ashamed of they way they treat me and other members.Screw Team Chevelle and their sponsored events. Just one mans opinion;)

We are going to try to do the event. Its only about an hour from us. Have to split car stuff and boating stuff in the summer. Going to be a hard decision to either take out the 67 or the 45' Cigarette boat with tripple big blocks for the weeeknds....

BillsCamino 02-07-2013 08:16 PM

There is a nice marina right next to this show's venue. Bring both!

Ms Grumpy 02-07-2013 10:32 PM

I would love to go to this show. grumpy is trying to get me to drive him to Texas next month (only about 24hr of driving for this trip). Then in May he wants me to take him down to South Carolina ( another 12 hrs of driving). And the only trip I actually have planned is the Ohio Show (about 3 hrs from my house). Hmmmm. I need to rethink some of this.

I have actually done car/truck shows in the past where I was asked to bring the boat.... My Freightliner Sport Chassis hauler truck won spectators favorite and best paint/graphics awards. Pics attached is from a local show to benefit the Veterans prior to and at the show....

The Nauti Goose marina/restaurant is next door I beleive. Nice Place. Several Poker Runs take place out of there during the summer months....

Its alot to get everything to a show. Between myself and my Sons we have several toys and they all are GM hardware, except for one sons Cobra Mustang. Its fun though....

Aint nothing wrong with a Ford or 2 ,I like em all.

Ms Grumpy 02-08-2013 05:52 PM

I agree flash. A beautiful vehicle is a beautiful vehicle. I think we can all appreciate the work that goes into a car, truck, van, boat, motorcycle or go cart. And it doesn't matter what the emblem on the car reads. What matters, to me, is the person behind all that work. A beautiful car, can quickly become unappealing when the owner is a jerk. Just my opinion.
