Thinking About Selling My Cars

Just like the title says, I'm seriously thinking about selling my 1970 Chevelle Super Sport and my 02 Camaro SS 35th LE and going into a different direction, thats right, getting away from the older ones and getting into something newer. I've been into older classic cars for almost 30 years. Call it a midlife crisis or what ever you want, but I'm ready to make a change.

Here are a few pictures of my rides.

Great looking cars! What are the wheels on the Camaro?

Bowtie-Bri 01-27-2013 10:51 PM

Thanks Derek ;)

Fully polished 3 piece forged Fiske wheels. 17x9.5 on the front and 17x11's on the rear.

Prices??

What's up with everyone wanting to sell their Chevelle lately?? I thought I only did that. ;)
The Camaro has a line lock??

man those are some serious nice looking rides man! good luck with the sales. I am thinking about selling off all my toys also

As the saying goes, "The grass is always greener..."

15+ years ago I sold my 69' SS 396 Chevelle. (L78/M21) I had it in my head that I wanted something newer with an overdrive, etc. Now, I am back to the older cars and regretting selling my 69' years ago. Stew on it real good and long before you 100% decide.

Just my $0.10 on the matter...

Both nice rides ,shouldnt have any trouble selling them .

Bowtie-Bri 01-28-2013 11:10 AM

I'll be posting my Chevelle up in the classifieds pretty soon with a price.
The Camaro only has 41,000 mi. 500hp @ the crank M6 trans, moser 9" with 4:11 out back. QTP LT with GMMG chambered CB and CME (center mount exhaust) The guy I bought it from in NJ took it to English Town race track a few times where it ran 11.8's in the 1/4 on sticky tires. Yes it has line lock.:)

I can guaratee that they are both nice cars and would be proud to own either one of them, and what you see is what you get.

I dig the chevelle, what beautiful ride! Just remember once you get a new car you will never get the same looks and thumbs ups like in the ole chevelle. This is what my friend tells me who owns a new all tricked out camaro and who had a 63 grand prix all #s matching but blacked out with big wheels and lowered.

Good luck on your decision

grandsport 01-28-2013 06:21 PM

So,what are you getting? It is no secret what is going to be in my garage next.

earthquake68 01-28-2013 06:48 PM

I once thought I was ready to let go of my Chevelle. 20 years later, I'm cloning the first car. I agree. Make ABSOLUTELY SURE this is the direction you want to go before you let those beautiful cars go. A new 'Vette or Camaro are cool, but they aren't '70 Chevelles.

Good luck with your decision, either way.

What is going on lately ? Did aliens come down and do a mind meld on some great car owners ? And where were you guys when I had some cash ? Only kidding guys. Sure I am sad to see people who care so much about these cars deciding to sell them. The knowledge that you guys possess in huge, and I hope that you will continue to help out those of us who need your help.

I will ask, like Gary did, so what is going to replace these. You said you were going to head in a different direction. Can we come ? lol

After talking to Brian on the phone a few times,I think we think alike when it comes to our toys. For me it is time to move on and get my Grandsport.Maureen and I are going to take delivery at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green and drive it home. For us that will be a once in a lifetime trip.

AWESOME!!!
We chose that option when we bought a '02 Vette convert!!
Gary, you'll have a blast...very, very cool.
Silly me...didn't want to put all those highway miles on the return to GA on a brand new car...I trailered it home from BG. :(

Shown here later that same year drag racing it at CB'02...

Looks like a new illness is hiting the internet. Guess I need to win power ball so I can buy both Chevelles, that way and start my own collection of 70 Chevelle's.

I wont be selling my El Camino or Joan's vert but will eventually sell my 74 Chevy Stepside if my 72 truck ever comes home .I would sell the 81 Trans Am if Joan would let me but that aint happening .

BillsCamino 01-29-2013 03:24 PM

John...I like your '74 Stepside.
Give me 1st shot at it when you're ready to sell please.

Bill ,the shop owner doing my truck is first in line already but I'll keep you in mind .
