my '72
this car was owned by my cousin and his now ex-wife, before I bought it the 1st time. she got it in the divorce, and after a few yrs, she could no longer afford the car. so I bought it, proceeded to pull the 350 out, and install a 383 that I already had and a new clutch and just drove it and beat on it. Decided that I needed a different car, so I sold it to a co-worker. after buying 4 other cars, working on them and selling them. (still own the nova wagon, but that will go this summer). My co worker asks late last yr if I wanted the car back, his wife had blown it up and he was leaving my place of employment. so, I bought it back, and have no intentions of selling it again
this is how I bought it back http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/...psfd18c6bd.jpg http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/...e/PIC_0774.jpg http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/...e/PIC_0781.jpg http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/...e/DSC03067.jpg http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/...116_133106.jpg |
and then we added power

Welcome ... and all I can say is ....WOW !!
And great use of the air hockey table. :) |
WOW is a good place to start ,that is going to be nice .
thanks. :)
I m looking forward to getting this car finished, so we can use the air hockey table. |
Looks like a solid car. Wonder how much your coworkers wife over revved it? Looks she did a number on it.
very solid car, one of the main reasons I wanted the car back.
as far as over rev, not sure how far but I would say plenty. she was revving it up for some of her sons high school friends, and blew out 2 rods. |
Like the set you are going with. Nice car.
Thats some crazy bad azz numbers on a small block ! Congrats. Im sure that s going to be alot of fun to drive. Hope you have alot of $$$$ in your tire fund/budget, that ride is going to blowin thru some tires !
Have fun and be carefull ! |
Wow, sharp car! I like what your plan is.
very nice!
thanks guys. I cant wait to get it done. I'm shooting for 4th of July, hopefully it will happen
The car will fly with that set up.
I hope so. :)
I just took my Chevelle out with a ridiculously "stock" set up compared to that. My car seems violent. I just can't imagine how your car will behave. Good luck with it.
lol. it had a 400hp sbc in it before with a 4 speed. to me, it was far from violent.
my last car was '27 Ford roadster with a 550hp stroker motor in it. I've got a liking for power :D |
couple updates
video of it running http://youtu.be/YMghI8slzJQ http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/...pscd01ed2f.jpg |
That is one BAD 72 .

Thanks for sharing. Went back a reviewed all the photo's. Almost forgot about all the work you have done to it. Looks like a fun Chevelle to drive.
no problem, and thanks. after almost 8 months of just drivetrain and chassis work, I finally got to drive it. so far, I am very happy. just need to get a few things ironed out and then I start getting some good miles on it
