soon to be Chevelle owner!
 

I'm will be picking up my first muscle car this Friday or next weekend. My dad and I go to a lot of car shows with some of his cars and we have to fit in buying it between shows. It's a 1970 Chevelle Malibu with a 350. It's a good solid motor but it has some cosmetic issues. I'll post some pictures up soon. If these forums are anything like the Hummer forums I know that I'll find all the help I need here. So hello to all and I can't wait to get started on my new (old) car in the very near future.

Cool ! 1970 is my favorite. I have had a 1970,1971,1972,1974,1975,1977 and 1979 Chevelle or Malibu.

Black, my favorite car color. Lucky man.

As of tonight I have the battery for the car in my possession to put it on the charger for Friday.

Picked it up today and cleaned some of the gunk off.

The engine really sounds good to me, I don't have a trained ear yet but it sounds smooth.

Congatulations! Looks like you have a ride that you can have alot of fun with. Those wheels seem like they are not the best choice for your car? Maybe it's just me?

Someday they will be changed but there is a ton to do before that happens. :D

Actually 71 had single headlights ,72 had dual headlights.

I'm dieing to get back over to the garage to mess with it. Can't wait for Friday!!!

I think I will remove some of the rust from the trunk. It'll be about all I have time to do this weekend. Guess I'll try the chemical route and see how that works.

When I did mine I used the old fashion wire wheel and a drill...lol I'll post up pics of mine when I get to a pc
