Cruise for a Cause

Today I went to Baker's in Milford for the Cruise for a Cause. It is put on by a team of women who are doing the 3 day walk for Breast Cancer and this is a way for them to raise money for their team. I had a lot of fun and met a lot of people who have been, or know someone affected by Breast Cancer. A lot of the cars were driven in by woman. Here are a few of the pics from the show.

It was a beautiful day for a cruise.

This International was owned by a woman who loves to drive it all over. She was a very nice woman who was very knowledgeable about her truck. She took one of the top 25 plaques.

And last but not least here is the Best in Show Winner. I am sorry but I would rather give that Award to someone who drives their car more than this guy drives his. Look at the wood under the hood. How long do you actually think that would last if you drove it ? Sorry just my opinion. But it is still a beautiful vehicle.....

And here is mine, just had to post a recent pic. Not that anything has changed other than a few more paint chips from the 70mph speed on the expressways and maybe a few more miles than last time I had a recent picture.

See....I really do drive it. :)

As always your car looks great!

Ms Grumpy 06-21-2014 09:18 PM

Ken it is about 25 miles from my house. Sounds like something possible. Let me send you a text in the morning. If I do go, what time would be a good time to get there ?

Ms Grumpy 06-21-2014 09:19 PM

Thanks Gary. I got a new phone last week and I am still trying to figure it out and when I forgot my camera I was forced to use my phone to take pics. I am still learning so the pics didn't come out as nice as I wanted them to.

grandsport 06-21-2014 09:22 PM

Look good to me.

Ken Hayes 06-21-2014 10:17 PM

We will probably leave the house around 10:30 or so and get there before 11:00.

That guy with all the wood on his car, he does drive that car a lot. You can see him at Frankenmuth and the Dream Cruise every year. BTW he did all that woodwork himself. Did you happen to look inside and see the headliner? Its awesome.

Got another guy around here that made a complete Ford Bronco out of cherry wood and tows around a small trailer with a exact replica Bronco golf cart. Both of these body's are hand carved and look Beautiful. I have a pic somewhere around here.

Ms Grumpy 06-22-2014 09:06 PM

Ken I think that I have seen that one.

Hope that you had a great day at the cruise today. I just was able to talk David into going and I wanted to stay close to home just in case he wasn't feeling well. I found him a nice shaded spot with a breeze and he stayed all day.

The organizer of the cruise actually called the trophies earlier than expected because the temps kept rising and a few of the older guys were leaving because they needed to get out of the heat. It cleared pretty quickly right after people won their awards. I just pulled my car off to the side and we sat and watched the parade of cars leaving. Ended up being a pretty nice day.

Congrats again Ken. Looks like you are racking up quite a few of those. Now we just need to talk you into going to the NOCC show so you can add one of those to your collection.

Yes Ken ,the Ohio show is great and I would finally get to meet you .

Ken Hayes 06-25-2014 11:30 AM

If Judy's hip can take that long of a ride..........we just might make it. I did just put new tires on the front and what an improvement in the ride.........I'll ask her about it.
