Last show

Today will be Bakers of Milford's last show for the year. Ric, Tony, Hank, Nancy or whoever come on out for the last fling. Bakers does have the reputation as being the largest weekly cruise / show in the country.

Hope to see ya's there............hell, I'll even buy ya a beer.

RBeckman 09-28-2014 01:44 PM

I'm on my way

FlintTony 09-28-2014 06:00 PM

I'm a little late seeing this post. Rats. I spent the afternoon just cruising around in the hot-rod too.

Ken Hayes 09-28-2014 07:54 PM

What a great last show for the year they put on today. I'm guessing there were between 500 to 600 cars that showed up. We got there at 1:10 (show starts at 3) and had to park in the near back 40.

RBeckman 09-28-2014 08:28 PM

It was a great day and I second that with the 500 to 600 cars, Bakers knows how to throw a car cruise. Ford even had 2 of their new 2015 Mustangs there to get car guy reaction and I have to say out of the Camaro and Challenger I would take the new Mustang.

Well the Chevelle hasn't been out of the garage since Frankenmuth and it's filthy. Wish I could have made it there, weather was nice. I just can't keep up with everything. I have to do all the stuff I always do, all the stuff Lynda use to do plus run around getting her what ever she needs.

Laundry, cooking, shopping, cleaning, lawn cutting. She is getting better so I don't have to run around getting things as much but we have a quad level and I think I've worn out the stairs running up and down.

Today was last day of in-home therapy. This girl was very good and Lynda made a lot of progress. Friday she goes to outpatient therapy. Biggest problem is the pain after therapy or going upstairs for a shower, etc. It is getting better so hopefully it will all be worth it.

Glad to hear it Hank...when she is getting around lets make plans for all us to meet for dinner and drinks somewhere.....Maybe Tony would like to spend time with us as well before he heads to Florida like a snowbird.

Also, parked next to Darrell in the shade.

Ms Grumpy 10-01-2014 09:16 PM

Sorry I couldn't make it, we have been dealing with a few family issues and I just couldn't get away. I even missed the Halloween show just north of Flint tonight.

That sounds good Ric. I'll let you know when she's up to it.

When Lynda gets feeling a little better, put her in a wheelchair, grab Henry, Ric and Les and come on up for another garage party.

Ms Grumpy 10-02-2014 09:26 PM

Hey what about the rest of us. You are not that far.

We only have a few more shows for the season here and I hope to sell some more keychains I made from HotWheels cars at those shows for a cousin of Joan's with Lukemia .He is fighting for his life and his work let him go (forced retirement at 37 years old) but he is doing better ,but he needs some help .

FlintTony 10-03-2014 04:29 AM

Everyone come on up!

Ms Grumpy 10-03-2014 05:48 AM

John send me a PM. I will buy a few of those keychains if you would send them to me.

Ms Grumpy 10-03-2014 05:50 AM

Sounds like a plan Tony. Just let us know. If I don't have something going on, I will be there. :)

Now I'm very suspicious as I'm thinking he may want to try out his new security system and boobie traps....I know I won't be the first one to walk in there. Here are some pictures I took last time I was there, who is going to volunteer to walk in first?

You are correct, when I get nervous I mess up.

Ms Grumpy 10-03-2014 07:21 PM

I think that I will volunteer David (grumpy). He would be "Happy" to do it.

FlintTony 10-04-2014 05:17 AM

Well, the Detective who is handling the case said my boobie-traps would land me in jail, so there have been some "slight" modifications to them. Hey, I can't help it if that steel plate with the spikes welded to it (wall art) just happened to fall when the door was opened too violently, now can I?

It is a joke isn't it. The are breaking in and your life may be in danger. But don't hurt them untill they actually are trying yo kill you.
Sounds to me like the perpetrator is related to a cop or member of law enforcement somewhere the way they are acting.

FlintTony 10-04-2014 08:17 AM

No joke. The cops say it's just like setting a 12 gauge shot-gun up to go off if someone breaks in. The reality is the stinking criminals have more "rights" than we do. Another example is a friend has a huge car lot. He just installed an eight foot high chain link fence around it. He wants to add three rows of barbed wire strands to the top. When he told the fence company this, they suggested he talk to his attorney first. Attorney said absolutely not. If a criminal gets hurt on the wire, he will sue the shit out of the owner of the lot. And most likely win. Not sure if the attorney is correct, but now-a-days, who knows. The stinking justice system lets criminals off way too many times. The punk that I think broke in here has a folder 1/2" thick at the PD, but has never been to jail. He spent one weekend in the Juvenile Center, only because his mommy couldn't be reached. Bizzaro world, I tell ya.
