RANT...taxes = nitro pills

We went to the bookkeeper this morning and had our incomes taxes done. After all we have paid in this year, we still owe more. I am so FCKN sick of paying for all the deadbeats of society that have never contributed a dime. I see on the news all the time about the earned income tax credit, dead people collecting refund checks. billions of dollars being sent to phonies out of this country, federal grants for the stupidest shit, grants to rebuild shit the hood-rats burn to the ground, more federal food stamps, more free stuff for the 47% that we know will NEVER have a job, and on and on. I had to take a nitro pill. They are just killing the middle class with the god damn taxes and insurance. Oh yeah, they raised our property taxes AGAIN!!!!!!!

BillsCamino 03-17-2015 01:12 PM

Oh yeah...for years we both claimed zero/single, maxed our retirement funds and still owed at the end. Two incomes & no little ones still at home.
Since retired...we now finally get $$$ refunds!! At least for this year...
Gonna hate it when we turn 70 and are forced to start drawing down those funds.

shadowgray396 03-17-2015 02:14 PM

It's going to get worse. In the next 10 years all of the 76 million baby boomers will be retired and Generation X will be working and there is only about 41 million of them. It will be the first time in US history there will be more jobs then people and no one to pay the taxes. It will be at least 20 years or more before the Millennium group starts work with about 75 million. I managed to get a little back this year, only to pay it on property taxes.

FlintTony 03-17-2015 06:01 PM

So I see on the news tonight that the POS, BHO, says we need to send MORE foreign aid to those savages in the Middle east. How about fix the FCKN roads in front of my house?

The waste in the Gov is criminal. Kathy won't let me watch any more news today. Scared her a little when the chest pains hit me today.

I'm ready to EXPLODE!!!!!!!!!!

carpoor 03-17-2015 06:15 PM

I'm basically at poverty level to get any kind of a refund. Even still... I paid in to FICA nearly three times vs. what I got back. I say repeal everything from 1913 on.

Prior to then, you kept 100% of your earnings... and guess what? We still had roads, schools, etc. So much for a "volunteer society." This is "legalized" extortion. I am HIGHLY doubtful that there will be anything left when it comes time for me to collect social security.

Ms Grumpy 03-17-2015 07:12 PM

I have 3 kids at home and me and Grumpy and we still have to pay. But I see people who have been on assistance, collect food stamps, work part time and claim 4. She got a refund of almost $6,000. WHAT ????? She didn't even pay in $900 and gets over 6x's what she paid in.

I'm waiting to hear you pulled out your gun and shot the TV when BHO was doing one his liberal pleas.

We need to get together soon

Hank70SS 03-19-2015 08:36 AM

I filled out my taxes before we came to FL. Haven't filed yet because I owe the Feds about $1400. It does suck, I don't have any deductions, or not enough so we file short form. I'm glad my taxes go to help the idiots that have 6 kids but can't afford to raise 1 without assistance.

Ken Hayes 03-19-2015 10:27 AM

Think we got back about $1,800.00 from state...........but had to pay federal $2,400.00. Sometimes I wish they took out taxes on retirement payments.

FlintTony 03-19-2015 11:44 AM

And while I'm ranting, I just got off the phone with Ballpark Buns customer relations. We went to the grocery store today and bought some hot-dog buns, Ballpark brand. These stinking buns are 2/3rds the size they are supposed to be. Just pissed me off. I cut 1/3 of the hot dogs off and fed them to the real dogs. Who in the hell wants to eat a hot dog that sticks that far out of the bun???? The bastards charge more than the local bakers do for the "almost" correct length ones. I don't think the marketing dept at Ballpark gives a rats ass, but I feel better after expressing my opinion to them. Not much better though. It's kinda like they are cheating me!

AND, we got some shit in the mail today from Wells Fargo. Now we owe MORE to the stinking gov. We gotta support the illegals and muslims that POS is letting into the Country. Damn, I gave myself another head-ache. I need to get started on a project to "get my mind right".

Damn Tony you need a project if you are starting on hot dog buns. I let the new owners (The Dorch's, they own all the local subways and Troy cleaners) of Halo Burger have it the other day since the ruined the best burger in Flint after they bought it from Bill Thomas. They tried to tell me that they have not changed anything and I told them I had a picture of the Meat Pattie that they are using now and not the fresh hand pressed hamburger that was there till they bought it and they hung up on me.

Spring needs to come soon or I'm not sure what is going to happen around here.

FlintTony 03-19-2015 06:03 PM

I hear you about Halo Burger. We stopped there last fall. My burger tasted crummy, it was slopped together. What is so hard about putting the stuff on neatly, not just grab a handful of stuff and throw it in the middle. The meat sure as hell wasn't like when BT owned it. I think it's that frozen junk from Wal-Mart.

Typically they will if you fill out the right paper work. I have taxes withheld on my pension, IRA withdrawals and SS. There is form you can get online to have taxes withheld on SS.

I thought this conversation was on Tony and his dislike for long dogs / short buns.

Nah, when I start a thread, you guys can talk about anything. I don't adhere to that rule about going "off topic", as I am mostly off-topic myself. Hey is that a squirrel over there? Chooot em Lizbeth, choot em!!!!

RBeckman 03-20-2015 06:29 PM

Was just in your neck of the woods for dinner at Whiteys tonight...good Fish and chips.

flash 03-20-2015 07:37 PM

I chooot em out of the trees here with a slingshot. My dogs go nuts when I get the slingshot out. They know a warm meal is heading their way. I broke the rubber band on my Crossman, tried to buy a replacement. The cheap bastards are making them in China now. I refuse to buy one. I made one from medical tubing. It works OK, but not as good as the old American made stuff.

Hank70SS 03-27-2015 12:30 PM

I don't shoot the squirrels, they stay out in the back of the yard and don't bother anything. It's the damn chipmunks I shoot. They're just rats with fluffy tails. They burrow under plants and kill them. Get in the shed and tear stuff up. Or just sit somewhere going chip-chip-chip, drives me nuts.

Anyway back to hotdog buns. They make the buns small so you feel like you're eating a foot long hotdog but you're not stuffing all that extra crap in your gut. Probably started in New York, bet they have a law that says buns can't be longer than 4".

FlintTony 03-27-2015 04:12 PM

Those chipmunks are pretty fast. When I open the garage window to take a shot, they haul ass. When it warms up, if it ever does, I can leave the window open and get em. There are more here than ever. They steal all the bird seed. Neighborhood is going to hell.

I called Sara Lee about those undersized buns. The lady said that Sara lee bought the rights to the Ballpark brand a couple of years ago. She "said" she checked with marketing and they said the buns are still the same size. I told her someone was a liar in the marketing dept. She sent me some 4 dollar coupons for my next purchase.

So I ordered a pair of Carolina work boots, made in USA, from Amazon. They arrived today. One is size 10.5, the other is a size 10. This will most likely get interesting when I call them. There isn't a store within 50 miles of me that sells the USA ones. I give up. I think I'll go chooot a squirrel. Axel looks hungry.

flash 03-27-2015 07:59 PM

Wow ,I had no idea you could find boots made in USA . When I was 16 I worked in a shoe factory and we made some God awful ugly shoes along with some pretty decent tennis shoes .I was in the packing dept and when we needed sizes to fill an order but not the correct sizes we would take however many cases we needed and mark the sizes to what we needed .A size 9 might really be a size 10 ,just whatever we needed ,its no wonder that factory went to China doing stuff like that but they lasted 30 odd years in USA doing crap like that .We produced and shipped about 10,000 pair per shift ,thats a lot of screwed up orders .Now back to chooting sqirrels and chipmonks or coyotes ,groundhogs ,or whatever moves that aint Beef on my place .I dont do my own chooting here ,I have a critter killer that keeps me in deer meat but he loves to kill critters .

shadowgray396 03-27-2015 08:31 PM

Some Danner boots are made here in Oregon. They have the goverment contract for Army boots, and they have to be made in the USA. I go down to the outlet store here and buy their leather boots for work. Lacross bought them out so more are made out of the USA now. mostly the ones on line.

Glad it won't be me answering that phone call. Looked at some Minnetonka moccasins the other day. Not one pair made in the US. Indian moccasins made in China?

Chipmonks at home usually sit there until I hit one. Then I won't see any for awhile. Our dog Annie use to like hunting chipmonks. She would tear down the fire wood pile to get at one. Those chipmonks are fast but she got lucky every now and then.
