Eye surgery today

Heading out in an hour to get the cataract removed from my left eye today, right eye in two weeks. I hope the bastards don't make me blind.

Hank70SS 05-09-2017 07:11 AM

For most people it's quick and the results are like night and day. Of course you're not most people. :D Good luck Tony.

It was well worth it for my wife.. Thank God she still found me good looking after words..

After words? What kind of words were said? Or did you mean afterwards? :p

That's too easy Bill. I see all 14 of them clearly.

Surgery went real good. Have to put these 6 thousand power cheater glasses on to see the letters on the computer. Gave me a Vicoden pill.

Made me stupid.

FlintTony 05-10-2017 03:50 AM

Eye is still pretty blurry, but it is better than it was yesterday. I hope I don't have to wear these cheaters for reading, although the doc said I may have to. I had RK surgery around 20 years ago and the radial cuts may be a problem. We shall see!

flash 05-10-2017 05:53 AM

Tony ,glad it went well .

Hank70SS 05-10-2017 04:10 PM

Sounds like all is well, good for you Tony.

You sure it was the Vicodin?

Uhhhhh, whut?

Doc says the surgery looks good and I can get my lazy ass back to digging out these tree roots.

The real question is, can you see the broken clock in the Camaro you sold?

I can see it, but I can't tell what time it says.

PS...You just set my recovery back by a couple of months. Now I will again be tortured by the fact that I am a shifty used car salesman. The emotional stress will take a toll on my health, I'm sure.

Wait a second here. Are we sure that Beckman didn't break that damn clock, just to "put me in a bad light" with you guys? Ya, that's the ticket, it's either Beckman's or Bush's fault.

flash 05-12-2017 06:00 AM

I think it'a Odumbo's fault .

Doesn't really matter since the damn thing doesn't work.

I wouldn't put it past Ric to do something like that.

carpoor 05-12-2017 01:31 PM

Maybe it was the Russians. ;)

FlintTony 05-13-2017 05:07 AM

Well, Beckman hasn't responded since I came up with the "breaking news" about the possibility of him being the culprit. Oh wait, maybe that is "fake news" too.

It's called 'alternative facts' Tony. He's probably staying away hoping things will settle down and you'll forget about it. Sure, like that's going to happen.

Hank70SS 05-16-2017 06:57 AM

So how's the eyesight now Tony?

FlintTony 05-16-2017 05:54 PM

I can see better, I think, at distances. The close up is still kinda blurry. I have an 8 am appointment tomorrow with the docs. They said before that because of the RK surgery years ago, I will be slower than normal healing. What the hell, I'm slower on most everything, so this is nothing new.

FlintTony 05-22-2017 05:57 PM

Going in the morning for the other eye. I had to wear an "eye guard" on the last eye for a week at bedtime. My big ass mean German shepherd dog hates it. He didn't want to come anywhere near me when I had it on.

Where in the hell is Beckman?

Hank70SS 05-22-2017 06:03 PM

Good luck tomorrow Tony, I'm sure all will go well.

Beckman? Sure he's staying away until you calm down about the clock 'scam'. I did talk to him the week before last to see how's he's doing. Asked if he wanted to go to the gun range and he said sure I'll call you next week, that was last week. Haven't heard from him, guess I'll make me a target of 'Beckman' and go by myself.

flash 05-22-2017 07:08 PM

Tony ,good luck with the other eye and the shepard .

FlintTony 05-24-2017 04:35 AM

This one was a little rougher than the first one. The girl that put the IV in me bent the first needle, then proceeded to jab the shit out of me trying to get a different needle in. The older, more experienced nurse finally came over and put it in. She had to go into my arm because I was bleeding so much at the wrist. I'll find out today why I was in surgery for a much longer time.

FlintTony 09-27-2017 05:57 PM

Back next week for more eye surgery. Lots of scar tissue has formed behind both new lenses. On a 1-4 scale, right eye is a 2, left is a 1 1/2 as far as clarity. I won't have time to get both done before heading south for the winter. Shit.

flash 09-28-2017 05:52 AM

Good luck Tony , let us know how it goes .

Hank70SS 09-28-2017 07:14 AM

Good luck. I went and had an eye exam yesterday. Doc said I was blind.

I guess it is time for glasses, getting hard to read the paper in the morning or small print.

FlintTony 09-28-2017 05:52 PM

Thanks. This one is supposed to be a lot faster than the first ones. They use a laser to blast the junk out. Or they blind me. Only in rare occasions though do they bling you. I'm a rare bastard, so we shall see. Get it?

Hank70SS 09-29-2017 09:48 AM

A rare bastard, you? I can never find you walking around at B2B or Frankenmuth, you blend right into the crowd. You'll do fine bud.

FlintTony 09-30-2017 05:58 PM

You mean when I'm wearing my dockers, polo shirt, converse all star tennis shoes, and of course my man bun?

After our conversation about those man buns, I started looking for them. Those sum-bitches are all over! And yes, they do look pitiful.

Ya, that stuff and your laid back, mild demeanor. Nothing seems to ever bother you. Now if you could just get Kathy under control maybe there wouldn't be so many places around where you're 'persona non grata'.

So when you getting the surgery done?

FlintTony 10-05-2017 05:00 AM

They zapped the eye with the laser. Seems to be more clear than it was. Got the new glasses, third prescription now. Hope these ones work. Have to make another appointment for the left eye now.

Hank70SS 10-05-2017 07:06 AM

Sounds like it went well, that's good. You said you couldn't get the other done before heading to FL. Guess you changed your plans.

FlintTony 10-05-2017 07:18 AM

Yep, still too hot down there. Was going to go next weekend, but will just watch the weather. I have major river water on the property. You remember the gate that goes into the swamp? The water is about a foot and a half from the top of the gate. Where I cleared all the trees and brush, where my shooting range is, is underwater as of now. The entire swamp looks like a lake. More rain expected this weekend too. I'm not too concerned about water getting to the garage or house, as I built the ground up so much where they are. I'm following the river flow charts daily. Levels are at "moderate flood stage" as of now. My neighbors Kevin and Bob are keeping an eye on things for me.

Hank70SS 10-06-2017 06:54 AM

Well hopefully the water goes down and not up. What shooting range? You had a target and backstop between the house and garage. Is that area under water?

FlintTony 10-06-2017 05:59 PM

OK, Ok, it aint a real shootin range. I just piled some big ass logs up down there by the swamp.

The backstop is under water. Not the whole thing, looks like about 1/4 of the bottom.

Hank70SS 10-07-2017 06:19 PM

If you can still get close enough to use it then it's all good. The water will go away eventually.
