Frankenmuth Autofest 2018!

Hey Guys,

Less than one month till show time!

Wife and I are really looking forward to this show!

How many of ya'll planning to make the trip to Frankenmuth this year?

The bad thing that means summer is almost over! Hope we have a nice long fall season!

We'll be arriving in Birch Run on Thursday.

I heard there's a car show/cruisin on Thursday at the Frankenmuth Mcdonalds.

Kathy and I will be there sometime during the weekend. Looking forward to seeing your "mystery car".

Hank70SS 08-13-2018 04:48 PM

Henry and I will be there Friday morning.

FlintTony 08-13-2018 05:49 PM

Tell Henry to bring cash for the Nova. No checks.

Perhaps Beckman joined one of those "Jeepers Creepers" gangs and doesn't have time for us old bastards any more.

Hank70SS 08-15-2018 06:11 PM

Well he's an old bastard too. Could retire if he wanted to. Talked to him on Monday, he was in Indiana for work. Said Back to the Bricks is on, same as always. Mike and Eric will be there. We'll have 20 spots so if you know anyone that wants a spot let them know. Guess we'll see him Saturday. You are going aren't you?

Bowtie-Bri 08-15-2018 11:24 PM

I own a Jeep Wrangler as a Daily but I don't have time to do any off roading.
Love to do BTTB but Carol and are going to a friends house Saturday for a Hawaiian Luau! You guys have fun and we'll see ya in Sept.

I'll be there Sat morning . My brother Doug got in town last night, so he will most likely be there too. They are opening the gates at 2 am for the cars to park this year. No car for me. Don't want to spend all day there.

RBeckman 08-17-2018 08:11 PM

I’ll be in Flint Tomorrow morning at 5:30 a.m.

Will be at Frankenmuth on the Friday.

Been working and Jeeping this year and just got the Chevelle out last week.

As always it was good to see everyone again and congratulations on top 25 Brian on mystery car. I’m in Arizonia for the next 10 days practicing for retirement and it’s already 104 degrees but it’s a dry heat ha, more like a oven heat. This was my morning view with my morning Diet Coke at my sons house. We got to meet our new granddaughter last night when we got in.

Congrats on the new granddaughter. Enjoy your vacation. When you get back we need to go to the gun range. Check RK guns if you're looking for a new one. If you order online it's $9.99 shipping to the store and no FFL transfer fee. If you don't get something I have a .22, .380, 38 and 9mm, Henry has a .380 and 9mm so we'll have something you can shoot.

Well the Bavarian raised their prices for next year, again. Over $500 for 2 nights. Definitely need to take the motorhome next year and a grill. Got you covered Tony.

FlintTony 09-12-2018 05:28 PM

Well, looky here. My car and Eric's made it in the Hot Rod Magazine photos of the Autofest.

I don't know about that Tony. You are getting better now that you dumped the flip phone.

RBeckman 10-26-2018 09:08 PM

Tony, got you covered on the grill, Hanks bringing it with his Motorhome. - completed.

Been doing a lot of traveling since Frankenmuth, Arizona for 10 days, Savana Ga for 7 days and Wisconsin for a week and I’m liking this retirement practice. Heading up to Jeep Creep in Gladwin in the morning and then some trails from St. Helen to West Branch.

Off to North Carolina for a week next week for work, so I’m still contributing to your SS for a while.
