|
Very Sad....
|
I still check in every few days
|
I check in but it does look pretty dead. Been pretty busy and just don't have much to say.
|
When the owners dont care its pretty bad .

I'm still here. Whatcha wanna talk about? I had to take a stress test Monday. Haven't heard from the Doc, so that is good. Been having sharp chest pains lately. The wife had to get kidney stones removed last week. We spent the whole day at the hospital. She is going to a dental specialist today to get a part of a tool taken out of her mouth. Her dentist broke the tool off when he was doing a root canal. Took my old dog in yesterday to start the cold laser therapy again. He isn't doing very good. Getting all crippled up and limps. I don't want to have him put down, as his brain is still doing good. Have had a few Harleys in for service work lately. Have one now that is going to Calgary Canada in a few days. The owner is looking for miracles on this thing. Will do what I can to have it ready to go. Went to the Township Board meeting last night. The are not going to allow any marijuana retail stores here in the Township. I find that pretty stupid, as the surrounding ones are making a killing on the taxes and license fees. People are going to smoke the shit, so we should be getting some benefits from it. Feel free to comment on anything in the post and lets get this shit rolling again!
|
Oh yeah, I turned 65 a couple of weeks ago. Now I feel like I'm 90 years old.
|
Kathy has a cracked tooth where the tool broke off. Now she has to have the tooth pulled an an implant put in. The timing could affect when we head south for the winter. Sucks. I got the HD done for the guy. The whole bike was covered in paint over-spray. I'm sore from doing so much hand polishing. Going to be another hot day here.

I about done fooling with this boat it is done basically. I been using it now. Wife finished college. I am no longer in hobbyshop college jail. I am getting a new metal carport for the boat then we saving for a motor for the chev. Plan is do the interior over the winter. Chev be off the back burner soon. Like you said i am getting old I got to start driving this thing if i gonna soon. |
Are you doing any fishing with the boat? What is the wife going to do now?
I was doing some PT for a bit. They had me riding the stationary bike until I got some hard-hitting chest pains. They took my blood pressure, 180 over 80, then the expelled me from class. |
Chest pains aren't good Tony, take care of yourself. Kidney stones, tell Kathy I feel for her. I had them multiple times. I finished up our deck and railing, turned out pretty good. Been busy here, our sons house and our daughters. She just moved into the condo in February and now she's put in an offer on a house on the lake, Walled Lake. I wouldn't touch it with a 10' pole but she wants a place with lake access. It's an old cottage that's been added on to several times over the years. It's over $500,000. Guess the small piece of property is worth $500,000 because the house is worth about $20,000. Oh well, it's her money not mine. I just know I won't be painting and working on this one too, she can hire her brother.

Good to get updates from y'all

I gutted it. All new wood and glass in the hull. I made the interior. Bought vynal and sewed it up. I rebuilt the outdrive. I had a ported engine with a cam and it had cracks from water damage before I got it. So I bought a reman one. Then it did stupid and was siezing. This is the second motor. It seems to be fine now. On to other projects I hope and just use the boat for what they are for. Boat made it so I started bringing my son. Now it made it long enough wifey is wanting to go. Here is the boats 3rd run me and my son just cruising. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWKR2T5HsCE |
Maybe I can put our boat in the water at my daughters, if she buys the place. I miss our place in Caseville, we were on the water all the time. Fishing, cruising around, etc.
|
The boat looks great. You do nice work.
Hank, you will be working on her new place the day after she buys it. |

Kathy has to go back in for more kidney stone work. Doc called yesterday and said the big stone didn't get busted up. He has to try again. I sure as hell hope this one goes better than the last one.
Her dentist said she has to have the tooth removed and an implant put in. It's cracked all the way through. The guy picked up the HD and is heading to Canada. I ate the first cherry tomato from my plants last night. Mucho good. |
What kind of hacks are you going to. I had lithotripsy multiple times, stones were always too large to pass. Fortunately each time was a success. And the tooth, what's up with that? Breaking tools off in her mouth, that wasn't you trying to do a root canal on her was it?
Hey, what do you know about welding cast iron? There's a plate on the trans of Henry's Ford 8N that has a crack and is leaking. Seems Ford doesn't make parts for that tractor any more. |
We found the Doc on Craigslist. He was willing to trade his services for a little weed. Turns out I should have waited until AFTER the procedure to pay him. The Dentist was hanging out at the expressway exit with a sign. Sign said "will trade dentistry work and spirit removal for change". Man, he looked legit. The sign was semi-professional looking after all.
Cast iron has to be pre-heated and a special rod. Not my job. Send me a picture of the plate and perhaps I can make one out of steel plate? |
Well then I don't understand why she's having so many problems. Tell her we hope she's feeling better soon. Lynda had a root canal, still had problems. Went to a root canal specialist and he did his thing. Still no good, had to have it pulled a month or so ago. I think it's a racket Tony. The sign he was sitting next to looked professional and legit. Maybe we need to look for guys that have an office and all. Of course you'll pay a lot more. So I guess it's a toss up.
Thanks for the info on the cast iron. I guess there's some kind of pump that mounts to it on the inside so it's not an easy thing to make a replacement for. |
What gets me about this tooth ordeal is the specialist that is doing the removal and implant has to get "permission" from her regular dentist. Makes no sense to me. It's gotta be a racket of some kind.

The 17 acres of property next to us in Florida was for sale a couple of years ago. The couple that wanted to buy it were lied to by the piece of shit that owned it. He told them that it had a private canal to the river. Not true. The canal is ours and we own about 26 feet of land on the side where this property was for sale. You have to cross our land to get to our private canal. The lady called me numerous times about that. I told her that I had no problem letting them cross the property and use the canal. They based thier purchase on this. They bought the property, bought a tractor and brush hog and started clearing land for a house and barn. I've loaned them all kinds of equiptment and tools since then. Very nice people that I get along great with. The wife called a few days ago and told us her husband has stage 4 esophigal cancer. Man, what a kick in the nuts.
|
Took Kathy back to the hospital yesterday for anothe kidney blast. Went pretty good. Took old dog in for laser. He ain't gonna be around much longer.
I keep paperwork from almost everything. I spent a few hours shredding shit a couple of days ago. Man, the memories some of that old paperwork brought back. Hundreds of checkbook duplicates, divorce papers from 1977, California drivers license, bunch of letters from prison some of my buddies sent decades ago. A whole big garbage bag full. stuff, |
No response, so I'll just quietly fade away.
|
I am listening. Don't know what to say. But I hear ya.

We were up in Mackinaw City for the week. Did the island thing, the Soo locks and the falls. You know the usual tourist 'fudgey' stuff. Weather was good, nice to get away from here for a week. |
I got rid of all my old paperwork a few years ago
and now we are going thru stuff that hasnt been used in a while. After going thru a few dead peoples things it became clear that most of it ends up at goodwill or in the dumpster. |

I have a shed full of odds and ends. Nuts, bolts, screws, parts from this that and the other thing I no longer have. Hey maybe I can use that some day. Oh this junk of metal may come in handy. Electric cords cut off some appliance I threw away years ago. I was looking at some of it the other day, thinking you hauled a lot of this crap here from the old house 18 years ago. Still haven't used it and probably never will.
|
Sounds a lot like the junk that I've kept for all these years. More than likely it will all end up in a big dumpster when I kick the bucket.
|
Makes me feel good to know im not the only hoarder in the room.
|
No you're not the only one. Hey that crap may come in handy some day, or not.
|
You guys have a feild day in my garage. Hoarder LOL. It is like having a chevelle it is a way of life. What cha mean you cant buy it? That is why I got 4 in case I need one.
|
I hear you. Have a bunch of extra horns, 70 has a unique mounting bracket. Need a front sway bar, it's not the heavier one for a big block. Got that with a bunch of other stuff. How about a set a 70 bumpers, they need to be re-chromed? Maybe some stainless trim pieces. Need some 69', 70' SS wheels, full set. They need to be restored as well.
I restored the set of wheels on the car, the other set will probably sit in the shed forever. The bumpers, I need new ones but I'm not spending a fortune to have a set re-chromed, I'll put new ones and the old ones will sit in the shed, with the rims. Maybe it is a Chevelle thing. |
I spent last week hauling stuff from the garage that I built in 1980 to the storage building. I'm sore. I found junk that I had forgotten about. I found a set of spring shackles that are a foot long and I don't have a clue where they came from. Only thing I can come up with is around 40 years ago, I said to myself "hey, those will make something cool someday".
|
Exactly Tony. That's why you need to hang onto those spring shackles. You just never know when you'll need something like that.
|
I have stuff stored in my attic in the garage. Maybe once I move into the new house with the shop, I'm really going to find out what I have when I have to move it all. Luckily the new shop has a full storage area up stairs. Looking forward to having a real shop. By the way Hi everyone.
