Anyone Michigan members interested in coming over for a BBQ. Maybe a Sat or Sunday ?

For those that don't know, I am in the Royal Oak area.

No shortage of charcoal, I'd guess. :p

How bout all yall northern folks come down to Georgia for a cookout. We could sneak out back of my house and shoot one of my BIL' s cows and have a real good cookout. If we get caught we could tell him it had mad cow disease and we was just putin it out of misery. How bout it.

....That really sounds good,but sooooooooooo many things going this Summer.

Thinking about it, we don't even have to do this on a weekend. Cause we all know how jam packed weekends are. Think about it, even if it was a day thru the week for those that are close.

We gotta start somewhere...

Theres a plenty of cows in my pasture down here ,aint mine but they are trespassing on my property.

Those cows must be under-achievers since they are not out standing in their field.

What about having it during the Woodward cruise?

Parking will be an issue unless someone has a spot lined up.

How about a crusie day/barbaque At our shop?

If I knew there was enough interest, id rent the spaces.

The offer to have it at my place still stands. I have plenty of room for cars and it may be more centrally located for those near Flint, Lansing, etc.

Well I am open to anything. If we are to bring a dish to pass....my wife makes a killer taco salad. Anytime we are asked to attend a "bring a dish to pass" event, my wife is always asked to bring that.

Just let me know a time and place.

Suggestions on time and place are needed. Now I know that we will not be able to make everyone happy, but we will try.

That would be great idea. Everyone could bring folding chairs, we could put out some tables with the food, and BBQ all day. Just have to have the name of the shop we are going to. And the name of the shop is ???? Need that to advertise the get together.

No, you can't make everyone happy. No matter where you have it, it's going to be a long haul for some people or not the right weekend. Ask, pick some possible dates and locations and take a vote on each. That's about the best you can do.

Yep, that's the best thing. Whatever is decided, wherever decided.......I'll do my best to be there if the social director hasn't already got us pencilled in for something. She mentioned going to Lake Michigan with the kids and grandkids sometime this year and I told her to make it next year, this one is already pretty full.

....she nodded in agreement.....

If you were to do it around the time of the woodward cruise I might be able to possible talk the family into a trip. I would love to drive over and meet everyone. Or I might just take the ferry over, that would be much quicker and the gas savings would offset because I would bring the chevelle along.

If Im not mistaken, the ferry ports in Muskegon? About how far are you folks located from there, in drive time? A couple hours?
