Engine Rebuild delayed
 

Looks like the CTX engine is rebuildable but will cost about $5000 to rebuild it with a roller cam. This project just went on hold for a while. I had not plan for this so it's time to bring the car home, put the cover over it, put it in the corner and walk away for a while. Looks like I will not make my December finish date. It's hard to do this, but I just can't spare the extra money right now. This project has become a money pit, and I'm in so deep that I need to step back and take a break for a while. Just another delay, I'm really disappointed at this point.

Give it a little time ,save some cash and then hit it hard again.

I got a line on a 1973 454 with a mild cam for a grand is you want to drive down the coast ... just needs your appliances. Let me know

Thanks for the offer, I'm going to wait and put the correct 70 CTX motor back in after the first of the year sometime. Looks like the parts are about $2000 and the extra machine work is going to run about $2500 which includes getting it back as a long block.
