Cuttin' the springs

Well guys I couldn't deal with the "rear up" stance of my ride so I thought I would cut my Eibach 2" lowering springs. Looks like the ends are tapered so I put it off for a while and a couple of days ago I put the original 12 bolt rear back in with a set of 4.56s that were given to me, some new bearings, and a Moroso Brute Strength Posi. While I was swaping out the rear I cut 1 1/2 coils off my 2" drop springs. I am really happy with the results. What do you guys think? By the way the car is a laugh riot with all the gear!

I just realized that I really didnt take any pics from the side with the new stance but its 2 inches lower than it was.

I like the look. Also like the old school look with the wide tires in the back and the narrow ones in the front. Very nice looking car by the way.

Looks Awesome!:) Very nice!!

It reminds me of when I bought my first 70 Chevelle. It was an SS 396 4 gear with 4:88's in the rearend. The engine would scream bloody murder on the highway.Lol
I ended up swapping them out for 3:73's to make it more highway friendly.

it looks good, that body style ive prefered to set level. 'bump' i recently put new front springs in my 64 and toyed with the air shocks to try to acheive the "nosebleed" stance.

Winger, help me undersyand how you cut your rear springs. I have a '68 & both ends of the springs are pig-tailled. How did you index the springs?

I didn't index them, I just let the bigger diameter end ride up in the frame. So far no noises.
