Pulled the Trigger today
 

So for my 1000th post I decided to take a leap of faith today and gave the ok to start the 70 CTX motor rebuild. So in about a month this motor will no longer look like this. It has been hot tanked and checked for cracks and is in great shape despite what it looks like on the outside. I'll get some pictures as the progress goes along.

I am glad that no one was shot too. Hopefully you don't hurt your trigger finger while putting together the motor. Let us know how things are going.

Reminds me of the Jimmi Hendrix song Hey Ray,were you goin' with that gun in your hand? I'm goin' down,goin' down to rip my old motor apart. I caught it,caught it foolin' around with another Chevelle from downtown.

It's not the original motor, but it is date and month correct for my car. Once in all my running gear will be January of 70 built.

Cool!! Are you building it to stock specs?

Close, but plaln to put a roller cam in it. Trying to come up with what I'm going to use at this point.
Been talking to the engine guy for idea's.
