New springs

Worked on the front suspension tonight. Put new springs in, went with BB springs without AC. Hope the car sits lower when finished. It had BB springs with AC springs under it. This is the third time I have done this, hope it is the last. Plan to bleed the new brakes and get the steering finished up on sat. Wife is in Florida this week giving me more time to work on the car.

Wish I could take credit for the garage, My car is over at a friends garage. I would love to have a lift like he has. Sure saved a lot of time.

I do, it had them originally from the factory.

Was the window like 6 weeks of early production?

I believe they continued into early part of 71, like Jan or Feb, depends on the assembly plant. My car has them.

Car before March of 70 had them from some plants, but have heard some later models from the Baltimore plant may have had them.

More pictures from today

Finished up the front springs today, cleaned the underside and installed the gas tank. Also got the steering wheel on and all the front idler arms and ball joints tighten up. Can't do the A arms until I get the weight back in the car. Car sit 1" lower then it did with the other springs with the motor out. Hope once the motor is in it all looks correct. Have about 17 hours into it so far the last two days. What a blessing to have a friend allowing me to use his lift. Makes the work so much easier.

Yea, I meant early 70 not early 71.
