Lowering the front end

2 Attachment(s)
What would be the best way to try and lower the front end on a 70 Chevelle? The front end is sitting higher than the rear. I would like to have it sitting level or the rear slightly higher than the front. I have attached a few pictures.

You could either cut the springs, or install new ones...

If it's mostly a street car, I'd recommend new lowering springs from Eibach or Hotchkis, which are stiffer and will help the handling a little bit and keep the car from bottoming out.

If it's drag raced, and you're concerned about weight transfer, I'd recommend cutting the stock springs, or getting some really soft drag-race springs for it.

If cutting, 1 coil is about 2" of drop...

There are a few threads in this forum that discuss how, how much to cut and what to do when lowering the front end. Check them out, some even have before and after pics of what the cars looked like. Good luck.
