Advice on where to shop

Hi, I'm not actually the restorer, but my boyfriend is. He has a wicked fathom green 68 with a 327. He's rebuilding the motor, so I figured this would be a great time to help him with some small things he's probably not going to buy for himself for a while (he's working full time to finish school and maintain two beautiful cars). I find myself buying things for him all the time that have to do with cars, rather than buying him actual parts for his car, because obviously, I don't know enough about finding the right parts.

Since he's more concerned with the motor, I would appreciate some help with where to look for authentic interior parts to replace the ones that have gotten some wear over the past couple years. I started looking for the right window cranks for him (his came from a kit and I broke the nob off the passenger one...just by using it) but saw so many that looked cheap.

I want quality parts, original if possible. I love that the motor is the most important investment, but since I benefit from her too, I'd really like to spoil her, and him, especially if it means he'll bring it to shows.

Please help me, where can I find either good quality reproductions, or original parts. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome catchafire. It is nice to see another woman on here ! Yeah !!

You will find the members on here really helpful, and knowledgeable.

I have to tell you, as a woman, getting car parts for my car is the best gift my husband could ever give me. So I am sure that you guy REALLY appreciates the fact that he has a woman who cares as much about the car as he does. There are not a lot of them out there. You go girl !!!

By the way, I am the owner of a '72 Malibu, most people think that it is my husbands car, but nope, it's mine and he is not afraid to tell them that.
