AC Compressor

My 1967 Chevelle's ac compressor runs anytime the fan motor is on. Is this normal?

I dont think so ,but mine is a 72 so it may be different . And welcome from Georgia .

I have a 70 but that definitely doesn't sound right. If the AC is on turning the blower off should turn off the AC. Turn on blower and AC should go on again. That's only if the AC is already switched on but I'm not familiar with the 67 controls.
