What cruise are you going to today ?
After the disappointing Woodward Dream Cruise this year I am heading out to my 1st Hines Drive cruise. It is my understanding that the only cars allowed on Hines Drive are classic cars and Hot Rods. This year they are expecting over 50,000 classic cars and spectators.
If you live in the Westland/Dearborn area the cruise enters off of Ford road near Evergreen. The hours off the cruise is 9am-5pm. There is only one entrance and one exit to the cruise. This is supposed to help keep the cars moving. I am hoping to meet up with Ken and some of the members of the Chevelle Club of Michigan. Hope you have a great day cruising. |
Yesterday, I "cruised" up to Lexington, KY with the wagon...a 375 mile trip. Had agreed to meet the new owner who lives in and drove down from Toledo, OH.
Flew back home yesterday afternoon. FYI...noticed crazy gas prices along the I-75 corridor during the ride...common to see $3.09 in north GA...$3.05 in TN...$3.55 in KY !!!!!! |
Mom used lived in Tenn. Gas is always cheaper there than in Ky. Rule of thumb visiting mom was. Always fill up there.

No cruises this weekend for us ,too busy working a benefit for a cancer patient . Maybe next weekend.

Had a great time even took grumpy today. It was really nice til the sun came out from behind the clouds and drove the heat and humidity up. It was time to leave when grumpy started feeling sick.

Boy I'll tell ya..........that one time when the clouds parted, the sun hit us like a ton of bricks. I actually said out loud, HOLY SHIT...........and everyone else around me just about did the same. We all took off for the pop-ups for a while.

I tried to put up the canopy early on and he said no. And then the sun kept peeking from behind the clouds and it was unbelievably hot.
