New starter
 

I have a 1967 malibu 327 turbo trans

i am trying to find a new ac/delco starter for my car. all of the local parts stores tell me that ac/delco does not offer a new starter for it. only ac delco rebuilts are sold.
has any one out there ever found a new delco starter for their car with that engine and trans set up?
they tell me that the one available as new is a "vision" brand. has anyone never used that brand of starter? any good ?
also- when i tell the parts guy that i have a turbo trans, they show me starters that have a steel nose piece, where my nose piece is aluminum .
has any one else had this problem?

Unless you find a New old stock (nos) starter for a gazilion bucks
Your going to be getting a rebuilt.
By turbo trans do you have a TH350 or a Th400.
The number of teeth on the flexplate will play a part in what starter you need
There are two choices 153 or 168.
