42 amp vs 55 amp alternator.
 

my 1967 chevelle has a 42 amp alternator on it now.
i need to replace the alternator and i have a spare 55 amp unit.
does anyone know if i will have any problems with this swap?

327 v8, auto trans, no ac

If you are going with any kind of sound system or amp
or even modern headlamps etc
you should look at at least 100 amp altenator
