Long time no see...

Hope everyone is doing well... Tony, Hank, Ray, Flash, etc.

I have just been riding this rollercoaster called life. I got up one morning in September of last year and said F it, finally had enough. I quit my job of 5+ years. Immediately went to work for another vendor, within 4 weeks - I put in my notice. A week later, they let me go a week early. That was mid October. Since then I have been doing general mechanical repairs, and some other odds and ends out of my garage. Not getting rich, making ends meet though and thankful for that. I did get a call from a local city about 2 months ago. I interviewed, drug test, physical, etc. I start in a week or two. Completely unexpected, pay is decent, benefits are great, days off/schedule is good as well. It's four 10 hour days, so I plan to keep doing stuff on the side to keep money coming in for the future.

I still have three Chevelles and a first Gen Monte Carlo. Slowly going to thin the herd though. The 72 SS 454 will be up for sale this year. Possibly the Monte as well. Then the 68 as I finish it. The 69 is really the only car that I won't part with. I like them way too much, in fact I'd buy a 2dr post car if the right deal popped up.

So I started my city job May 2nd, pretty much a cakewalk. Great health care, lots of time off. I'm much happier than I have been in years. Stress is pretty much non existent. I sold my Monte Carlo, about 3 weeks ago. I have my late model Tahoe sold. I'll be down to 4 vehicles and one less insurance. So far I have been resisting the urge to buy something else. I am trying to have tunnel vision and finish my 72 so I can sell it next.

Life been keeping me busy also and not much time to play. I know I haven’t been on here much or even had the car out the last few years.
