Under hood decals?
What, if any, decals or stickers were put on at the factory under the hood on my 69 SS?
I have the open element air filter and no air. It is a KC car. Thank you, Randy |
Randy, I'm going to move the post to restoration forum and may sure Ray Barnes sees it. He has a pretty original 69, no AC, but the closed element air cleaner. I'm sure he tell you what should be there.

Thanks Hank.
Sorry for the trouble. Randy |
No trouble Randy, just trying to make sure it gets seen so you get an answer. I did call Ray to make sure he takes a look at it, left a message. He must be busy at work because I haven't heard back from him.

Randy, these are supposed to be from a "survivor" 69SS L78

Different intake, but same stickers on the air cleaner I think. I wonder if there were any others that aren't pictured here, like on the shroud or something. http://www.autabuy.com/Gallery/?ID=3...EVELLE%20SS396 For the heck of it, I was looking at a few restoration parts stores, and there are a few other decals, "keep your GM..." and a "REAR" sticker for the air cleaner housing, etc. |
Thanks a lot for the info so far guys. I love this site. It is so much friendlier than what I'm used to.
Randy |
Randy, there is at least one on the rad top plate, maybe two but I'm not positive about that.
|
Thanks Hank. I'm gonna keep researching it.

Hey guys, sorry late to the party. There is one more decal/label that goes on the front drivers side corner of the radiator top panel. It has the tune specs for your specific engine.
