70 SS top alt bracket

Car had a chrome alt bracket when I bought it. Never had the heater hose clamp that goes on the bracket. I have an original top bracket and the hose clamp that attaches to it. Anyone have a close up picture of where the alt wires, heater hose clamp and ground wire attach?

Thanks Brian. I have an aluminum intake and the fitting for the heater hose is straight up and down. I don't recall what an original intake is like. Does the fitting go in at an angle or does the fitting have an angle to it? If it's the fitting I'll try to locate one like that, can't do much about the intake. Looks like your negative battery cable is attached to the head or block. I know the 69 was that way but always thought the 70 was was on the top alt bracket.

Hank,
the coolant line fitting in the intake is at approx. 45 degree angle. You are right about the neg. cable. I looked at my assy. manual and found an ill. showing the neg. cable mounted to the Alt. bracket.

I thought the hole in the intake was at an angle but couldn't remember for sure. My heater hose has to go straight up then curve back by the alt. I wonder if I could find a fitting with a 45 in it, would allow the hose to lay over and look a little cleaner.

A lot of guys like to mount the cable to the head for a better connection. I haven't had any problems with it on the bracket though so I'll leave there. It was a little tough getting a good connection to start with because my bracket is powdered coated, that stuff don't come off too easy.

They are some pretty nice engine bays.
