Why was my quote from Haggerty 2x Grundy's?

I just got off the phone with both Grundy and Haggerty Classic Car Insurance agents. How come my quote from Haggerty was twice as much as my quote from Grundy? I gave them both the same information. The only difference between the two was what they wanted as far as information. Grundy only wanted 2 pics of car, both being exterior. Haggerty wanted 4 photos, exterior/interior/motor/trunk with lid open.

Both policies were pretty much the same. Anyone know why such a big difference in price?

I have Hagerty and they were the best rate for me ,dont know why such a difference. But I have heard good things about Grundy as well.

Hard to say. Hagerty wants to see the engine to see if it's heavily modified, like for racing. What tires where on the car in the pictures? Street slicks? They might not like that.

I am still scratching my head as to why ones 300 bucks and the other is 600 a year.

The quote was based upon a phone call. No pics exchanged yet.

Well go with Grundy. Both Grundy and Hagerty have good reputations. You could always call Hagerty and ask them why.

I got to reading all the restrictions that Grundy had and its staggering. I don't really think we have a choice in who to insure it with.

Mind if I ask what you have it valued at? $600 seems really high... I have Haggerty, and it's under $300/yr with it valued at $25,000.

Sure its 30K
