So what are you paying for gas?

With all that is going on with the oil spill. We all have been watching the price of barrels of oil and gas. And as each holiday approaches we wait to see how high the price of gas will go. So with those two factors we are all doubly concerned about how high gas prices will go.

So what are you paying for gas where you are?

Funny thing prices dropped a little before Memorial Day weekend, that's pretty unusual. The BP mess, they claim, is not really enough impact on world supplies to affect prices.

Its back up some here, $2.59 per gallon for regular at some places . The place closest to me is $2.79 per gallon .Prices seem to go up without reason.

Oregon Gas is 2.72 a gallon for regular, and about 70 cents of that is state taxes. The best I saw last weekend was 2.62 a gallon at ARCO. We don't have any BP stations in Oregon anymore. We only have Chervon, Arco, 76, Texaco and the independent stations. Not sure where Safeway and Cosco get there gas from. Also Oregon is not a self serve area. You have to let the attendent pump it for you.

I honestly don't know.

I paid 2.69 at Costco on Saturday when I had to fill a bunch of cans for the generator. I think the Mobile was 2.81 for credit and 2.75 for cash.

Gas is higher here than most areas around us. You can go any direction and see lower prices than you do in Livingston County. Don't know why but it sucks.

$2.69 right now...

The BP rig was a drilling rig, not a production rig, so it has no real effect on the supply of oil *for now*... I'd expect some seriously restrictive legislation as a result of it to come in the near future, which will have a huge effect on domestic drilling.

Around here, prices really fluctuate with where you fill up. There could be 2 stations within 5 miles each other with $0.25 difference in price for a gallon of regular.

I'm seeing avg. of high $2.50s to low $2.60s as of now.
