yeah i know that the ls5 made 360 but the thing is he was saying he was going to put down 550 or more. all i can tell you is he had new H beam rods crank polished new pistons alum heads and he was saying his combo was going to be 11 to 1 and to see him get so much less he was not happy at all! and then after seeing my car get the power i got out my ls1 with a 6 speed manual trans he is almost ready to get an ls1 for himself but he is in the same boat as me no one wants to buy 454's for the money we put in it. Hell i am trying to sell my whole swap with motor and trans for 2 grand and cant get it.
like i was trying to say with him is that its just amazing that you can get that little and spend so much. but then again it could be like everyone said it was just the wrong combo. as for me i just want my chevelle running..lol but i am not planning on spending a whole lot of money on my 454. if i blow my motor i think for the money i would just buy a create motor. which i told him the money and time he spent on his 454 he could of gotten a create 454 or 496 but thats just me i guess
