Some followup
I received a call from the dealer yesterday. I sent him the appraisal report as he was very upset that the inspector felt the car was an SS clone. The dealer claimed he had been assured it was a real SS. He brought in his own SS expert who feels it is an SS. He bases this on that even though there is no rear anti-sway bar, the mounting holes are there. He claims only SS cars had anti-sway bars. Is that true? There was no option for a Chevelle to have anti-sway bars? The dealer suggested that if I was still interested, he would pay for whoever is the best Chevelle guy in the country to come certify whether or not we have a real SS. Concerning the engine, my appraiser reported the that block and head numbers are consistent with an LS6, but the block numbers looked a little shallow.
