If I'm reading this correctly you can't turn your motor over because it is hitting something. Make sure you don't have a bolt hitting something around the fly wheel or starter area. You did not say if you are turning the motor over by hand or with the starter. Mine did the same thing and this is what I found was the problem



Water got into one of the cylinders and I had a ridge that the piston was hitting. Did you turn the motor over before you purchased it?
